To see a world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.

Just wondered if anyone knew the meaning behind this

its about life. u need lines that would match. so far i have

Life
What is life?

Life is like a bus full of people,
Headed down a steep hill.
And when you think its safe because it stopped,
It will explode like soda pop.

Life is banquet and most people are starving,
Because they’re to busy procrastinating,
And showing off.

I am working on an extra credit poetry journal for a literature class and I need some examples of serious poetry. Most of the poems that I have found so far are all about death, and I would like to find some others that may deal with unrequited love, suicide, homelessness, etc, these must be poems by known authors and not ones that you have written. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks

I've just managed to confuse myself completely by thinking about this. Surely something is only inevitable after it has been done? How can we know if something is inevitable: and if inevitability is uncertain, then it simply cannot exist, because inevitability is the absolute certainty that something will happen. Please somebody think of a rational answer!!!

... then people should be perfect, right. We can reasonably say that people aren't perfect, so that can mean that the universe is not perfect. But then one could say the universe is perfect, w/out people in it. If the universe and man were both perfect, then people would be puppets on a string because they wouldn't have the choice of being evil. However, another alternative could be that people could choose evil but do not, but if the choice to be evil is still there, the universe couldn't perfect because there is still a possibility for evil to exist. My question today is, if there's no evil in heaven then there's no choice to be evil in heaven, does that mean we die and become puppets?
