Who first said every rose has it's thorn?

Because I've heard it's not just in those songs. Did a phillosepher say it?

I've just looked it up now and have found this...

its from a william shakespeare play but i dotn recall which one
um the commentor before me is wrong, that person was born in teh early 20th century
