Sometimes I think the whole world has gone crazy, but then again maybe it's just me. Everyone wishes for the perfect life. Some people get it, I'm not one of those people. I was sitting on a plane as it soared over the glistening water of the vast Atlantic. London, England is where I am headed. To live with my dad whom I had visited every summer since I was four years old. I'd been to London every summer for thirteen years. I love London, I truly do, but it just isn't the place for me. I don't feel like I would ever get my perfect life, or my happily ever after there. The busy streets, the brain-racketting noises, they're great. Except you get used to them, maybe even too used to them. I really didn't know what to expect in London though I had been there for a month, every year, for thirteen years. Even though it seemed like I had it all worked out in my mind, London was so different from Phoenix.

I have been having an argument with myself for quite some time after reading Tuck Everlasting several years ago,on why is death important?
I personally find it to be an important process of life, and needed.
But if we were able to live forever, would we ever find anything we have in life, important, would we have be able to value things like friends and family the same?
Besides it being an important part of life, what would happen if we could live forever, what would YOU do if you could live forever?
As from Tuck Everlasting (a very good book, and easy read,I suggest reading it!) what do you think of the Tucks problem, would you like being able to live forever or would your attitude be the same as theirs?
Oh and if you were given the chance to live forever would you take it or would you go on living with death?
I personally find that death is important and would not want to be able to live forever, because even though death is a scary thing living forever, would give live no meaning, wouldn't it

So much stuff laying around: What do I do with all this material stuff? Cards, pictures, gadgets, papers....what's worth keeping? What will have value in the future? Should I take the value for what it once was and keep it within, or should I keep the item itself? Any ideas?

I've been working on a project that involves information about the opera world, if you will. But I do not know that much about it so I need insights on:
A. what's popular now
B. Who was popular in the year 1849 or around then
C. Are there opera competitions if so where and when
D. anything else that may be useful
Thanks

Is there such a thing as a point that cannot be debated? Most people agree that empirically-verified facts are non-debatable except in terms of clarity of expression (the words used to state the fact can be debated, but not the fact itself). However, is there any point that can be made that leaves absolutely no room for debate, semantic or otherwise?

Is she for real?

Let's say that a virus spread throughout the world and damaged the areas of the brain that are responsible for emotions. The entire population was affected and could no longer experience any emotional reactions, although their reason and intellectual ability was unimpaired.

Would morality change if we no longer have any emotional reaction to cheaters, thiefs, inequity, or tragedy?

Maybe it's difficult to answer such a hypothetical question, but any opinions would be appreciated.

I'd appreciate real answers and not just people trying to get points. Thanks =) (yea Tori like that's gonna happen lol)

Thanks,
Tori

Hello! I am writing a children's book, and since this is going to be my 'first e-book'... you know publishing, promoting and all... (I need some help in many areas)! The main thing I would want, is a few links to the simplest and easiest definitions on the web.. for terms, like "gravity" or "velocity" (without having kids eyes 'glaze over')... The basic idea of the story this (while teaching kids some science, etc.): A dad on a distant planet is desperate to get his kid to 'lose weight' and get some 'exercise'... and tricks him into exercising! (without giving away the plot, before I publish it), I am going to use the 'laws of motion' in this story (along with other 'diet and exercise' facts : ))) ~THANKS for any help! I am re-posting this question, because my last question seemed to be a bit confusing and VERY wordy... I thought I was saving time by asking everything, all at once! lol ~thanks!

I have to sing part of the song "Kansas City" in my school musical. People keep telling me that I need to sing it with more of an attitude and more sexy. I've asked so many people how to do this, but so far, no help. I'm not exactly attractive so it's hard for me to flaunt nothing. Also the sound of my voice needs more attitude, but I don't know how to put it in. Are there any real people or fictional characters that I could use as inspirations or models for this role?

Hello. This is for Harry lovers. Well, this is a discussion. And for those who are just bored and don't know anything about the books. There are spoilers in here, so go away! LOL. Well, the books basically took a turn when Voldemort came back at the end of book 4. And we find even more worry when we discover that Sirius dies, Snape is working for Voldemort- again!!! And of course Dumbledore dies. These are some questions that would be cool to answer because I'm curious. Well, let's start off on Quidditch.

We notice that Harry does not get to play the sport in book 4 when he the Triwizard Tournament is going on. Then, Harry is not allowed to play Quidditch in book 5 when Umbridge "suspends" him. And Harry is injured in book 6 at one point where he can't play. Do you think that Jo is tired of Quidditch?

Another thing: At the end of book 6, Harry explains he will not go to school. Do you believe that?

And do you think that RAB stands for Regulus Black- or is that on of Jo's tricks?
