I am just look for a dark brown to black bob and a few others. Our budget is small. Anything anyone can do would be great!

Thanks so much!

Usually the place that you are renting the costumes from will have wigs. If you are not renting the costumes, the rental place will still rent the wigs. Any wig place online will have full line of wigs to look at though if you want to buy them and not rent.

not to be funny at all but most towns have at least one weave/wig shop where you can buy cheap synthetic wigs and hair pieces to expensive human hair wigs/pieces. i live in a rather small town and i can think of 3 wig shops off the top of my head. you should be able to look in your local yellow pages. i found one in a shop like that for halloween one year for a flapper costume and i think i paid maybe $5 for it. it was cheap and itchy but it did the trick!

Hi,
I lettered in theater in high school.
I would get your wigs at a local thrift store, washing them first before use, or get your wigs at an online costume store, there are also some towns who have beauty salons that sell wigs, you can rent wigs at places that rent costumes for parties.

also try your dollar stores, beauty wholesalers/discount stores, or some drugstores sell hairpieces, too -
or solicit people for wigs on your local freecycle.org website
or ask a neighboring community theater, or high school theatrical department or college theater dept. , if you can borrow some wigs.
Best of luck!

Look in the yellow pages under costumes. It is proably cheaper to rent them. Look in Thrift stores or put an add out. (local papers, online etc.) Try calling the local Cosmetology College. Maybe they can help. Good luck.
