Hello. This is for Harry lovers. Well, this is a discussion. And for those who are just bored and don't know anything about the books. There are spoilers in here, so go away! LOL. Well, the books basically took a turn when Voldemort came back at the end of book 4. And we find even more worry when we discover that Sirius dies, Snape is working for Voldemort- again!!! And of course Dumbledore dies. These are some questions that would be cool to answer because I'm curious. Well, let's start off on Quidditch.

We notice that Harry does not get to play the sport in book 4 when he the Triwizard Tournament is going on. Then, Harry is not allowed to play Quidditch in book 5 when Umbridge "suspends" him. And Harry is injured in book 6 at one point where he can't play. Do you think that Jo is tired of Quidditch?

Another thing: At the end of book 6, Harry explains he will not go to school. Do you believe that?

And do you think that RAB stands for Regulus Black- or is that on of Jo's tricks?

Quesion 1:
I do not think at all that Jo is tired of Quidditch. Though You must relize that there is so much information that she must put into the books. Wouldn't you rather find out what happens then read about a match? I love Quidditch too and is one of my fondest wishes that it was real and I could play. Some of the Quidditch matches were needed in the books to explain things. Like book 1 and Harrys father. Book 2 with Dobby. Book 3 with Sirius. Quidditch is just a helper and offers us alittle more fun with the magical would.

Question 2:
I do think that Harry will not return to Hogwarts to go to school. However I do think that Hogwarts will still play a important role in Deathly Hallows. All of the other books have mainly taken place at Hogwarts. Jo just can't take that away from us. Harry may have to return to talk to Dumbledores Portait or perhaps the final battle will take place on the Hogwarts grounds. Or maybe DA will meet back up there at some point.
We don't really know for sure. We can only wish and hope that July comes quickly!

Question 3:
I really do think that RAB stands for Regulus Black. I do believe that it makes perfect sense. We find out in book 5 that Regulus had joined Voldemorts service but was killed either by him or on his orders, if I recall correctly. We also find a 'heavy gold locket that none of them could open' during the same book when Harry and the Weasleys are cleaning out Grimmald Place. This could indeed be the Horcrux that Harry and Dumbledore had been looking for the night that Dumbledore was murdered. These are the few clues that we have that RAB is Rugulus Black. I also read a article about this. In a few other langues the letters of the name down at the bottom of the note change. (I can't find it at the moment) In one laugage the letters were RAZ and Black in whatever laugage that was starts with a Z. A few other examples were given. (If I ever find it I will add the link)

*Sigh* That took a while to put together. I hope this gives ppl a few things to think about.

From what I have read of the last book ("The Deathly Hallows"), I think that Harry (and most likely Ron and Hermione) will not be returning to Hogwarts. Harry said at the end of "The Halfblood Prince" that he would not be going back. Yet, I think that at some point the three of them will need to take their final exams in order to become full-fledged magicians and determine what their magical futures will be, unless that would not be necessary if they (or Harry in particular) are able to rid the magical world of Voldemort (although I tend to think that he is immortal to some degree; I doubt that he will be killed in total finality). As for Quidditch, it may have run its course for Harry since he is unlikely to become a professional Quidditch player. I really do not have a clue about RAB. I do love the Harry Potter books and think that J. K. Rowling is about the cleverest writer ever! I can not wait for the next (and I really do hope not the last) book to be released on July 21st and want to purchase it immediately before I hear how it ends!!

OMG yes! I also had the very same suspicion that RAB stands for Regulus Black! Do you know how many hours I spent rifling through all six books to find out who RAB is? I hope it is, because he's GOT to be as awesome as Sirius (by the way, is he dead or not... cause I'm tired of pulling out my hair over that matter)

And yes, I beleive that JKR is tired of Quidditch, as exactly how long can a woman describe a sport? It must be tiring *yawn* I myself am writing a medieval fantasy book and am faced with a problem similar to this, so I can relate.

Actually, I beleive that Harry will quit school, but I think that is very stupid. Once again, I suppose that JKR got tired of describing school events, and is going for something new, but think of Harry Potter's later life! Quitting school is stupid people.

Quidditch: No, i think she is demonstrating that we don't always get what we want in life, and sometimes you have to put what is important infront of what you love. I don't really think JKR would leave out a part of a book just becuase "she wasn't feelin it"... thats kind of insulting to her as a writer.

School: well duh.

RAB: good question. i think it will probably be RAB, but she is a tricky woman.. so its hard to say. I believe that the real locket in question is the one that was found while clean grimmauld place in OOTP.. and being that it is (or *was*) a Black house, it would explain why it was there if regulus planted the fake one. now the question is.. is it still there? or did Kreacher whisk it away somewhere (The malfoy's maybe?). can't wait!

well nobody really even knows if hogwarts will open this year do we? we do know if harry goes off after voldemort that luna ron hermione and neville will all go along. i believe jk actually said she was tired of quiddith not that she doesnt like it but that it just isnt easy or fun to write and its not really necessary to the plot now is it? I think we had to know how important it was so we know how bad times have gotten when quidditch is cancelled. Sirius BLack is dead, but is dumbledore? as for RAB yes i pretty certain we can assume it is RAB, and though she is tricky she does like to leave us lots of clues!

I don't think anyone could get tired of quidditch! I think she just had to much other stuff to write about. I do believe that Harry is not going back to school because I heard she was making an eigth book. and i think harry will go looking for the horcruxes. I have no idea what RAB stands for...but i do luv HARRY POTTER WHOO

yeah, jk has said that writing quidditch has been her bane because it's been hard to think of things to happen during matches to make them different form one another/interesting. she was so glad to write the last match where luna comentates.

i believe he won't go to school; or at least he won't formally attend it, he will probably dop by now and again... maybe.

yes i think it stands for RAB. ever since the first time i read book 5, when they were cleaning out the desk and talking about the things that they found; when they mentioned the heavy locket that no one could open i was like "ah! what is this thing, why can't anyone open it?" and it bugged me. as soon as we learned of a locket (i think in the penseive) i was thinking about the locket at the blacks' house. also, lots of people have looked at the foreign translations to figure it out; a lot of people's names have been changed in the other languages and people have compared regulus's name to the initials on the note and i think i read that in many instances the changes matched up.

To your 1st comment: I think she's a bit frustrated at the fact that Quidditch, in some cases, practically sells the book. I mean, directing people's twists and turns on broomsticks for 3/4s of a chapter seems a little boring...
2nd: I actually think he will, but in a certain way. In my opinion (oh goodie, now I'm sounding like an unnoficial expert :-P) he'll probably use the cloak to be able to sneak in and secretly meet Ron and Hermione in the common room to chat or something.
3rd: Almost certain. I remember seeing that, in one edition (in a certain language), it seems to say RA[letter besides B]. That letter is also the first letter of that language's term for "black."
Lengthy, lol...

I'd hate to see Harry and the gang not go back to school. I would miss all our friends there! If they don't go back to school what will they do. After the wedding, of course. She probably is tired of Quidditch. I am. I just scan those pages to find the winner and if Harry was hurt or hexed

Okay, I want the author to finally come to the conclusion with Voldemort....Only to be replaced by a black wizard of the sternest demenour. In fact, the new adult wizard slays Voldemort once and for all. The school has an uneasy, but comfortable silence for years and years to come. Perfect, for wizardry school. Much of the story is describing the school environments and class-time more than treachery between school factions. That's the way I want it to go.
