I have a nickel plated whistle marked;
J.Hudson&co
13,Barr St
Birmingham

The whistle is cylindrical and would be commonly recognised as a police whistle.
However,I have checked the website of the manufacturer,now called ACME and all whistles of this description manufactured for the police force,ARP and railways have markings indicative of the institution that they were used by.
This whistle has only the markings above and as far as I know they werent made for civilian use.
Could anyone explain who this whistle was made for?

I can swear on anyone including my mom that this has happened to me. This happened to me when I was in Sydney, Australia in 1995. I was working in a shop at the counter. A graceful looking Indian man with long hair and beard came directly to my counter and said, by looking at my forehead he can tell that I will become a big yogi. I was bit fascinated by that since I already was interested in becoming one. To convince me he did this. Looking at me he wrote something on a paper. He folded it and gave it to me and asked me to open this later. He then asked me to think of my favorite color, lucky number and a flower that I like. I thought of picking the wrong ones but finally decided to go for the correct ones. Once I opened it, I was surprised to see the exact matching answers. I have never revealed my personal details to anyone at any time. Atleast not when I was in Sydney. Is it possible the Guy was reading my mind? I still have no clue. Can you please explain this? No mocking.

But then there was a war at Vietnam and he went there to fight.......but never came back.

Serfdom was abolished in Poland by Kosciusko in 1794. Russia did away with it in 1864, and this emancipated twenty times more people than the American emancipation achieved.

Slavery had been accepted as normal throughout human history. It is accepted in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. It was the foundation for the economies of both Greece and Rome. The end of slavery was a worldwide human and Humanist achievement and Americans should not imagine that their latecoming jumping on the bandwagon was anything special. South Africa, often recognized as a racist society, had been slavery-free for decades before Lincoln issued his Emancipation Proclamation.

Once Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the Tree in the Garden of Eden, they both gained a higher knowledge of everything around them. It was and is a human beings greatest asset. We have the power to learn and apply our knowledge to everything we do. It's what sets us apart from the plants and animals around us. Did God really want us to live like the plants and animals of this Earth? Stupid and uneducated? Before Adam and Eve ate the fruit, they were completely innocent. Unknowing of everything around them. And it wasn’t until after did we learn the difference between good and evil, and much more until future generation came about only to discover and invent many innovation and forces that our Earth contains. The Tree of Knowledge left in the Garden of Eden was forbidden right? Then did God want to live as animals?

hey there! well currently i live in a southamerican country, and ive been studying acting and modeling since i was very young, im about to finish school and go to the US cause im american and stuff. And im going to LA, hollywood to see if i have a future in either modeling or acting.
