Acting and Modeling help!?

Question

hey there! well currently i live in a southamerican country, and ive been studying acting and modeling since i was very young, im about to finish school and go to the US cause im american and stuff. And im going to LA, hollywood to see if i have a future in either modeling or acting. I have been modeling kinda profesionaly, and have acted in many plays, school plays etc. Im really good at it, but i need to know what am i sopposed to do to start, advice! please some tips...i really AM going to make it, i know it wont be easy, but i like a challenge.

hey there. Although this may be long, READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM.its very important and helps A LOT. i don't want to tell to much about myself but im from tennessee. miley (cyrus) used to be my old friend. i miss her so much. anyways back to the point. miley taught me a lot about acting and she encoureged me to try it myself. TIP #1- everyday wake up in the morning at 5:00. make it a habit TIP#2- in the morning when u wake up do streches. also do this before you go to bed. it helps with your dancing (if you dance.) TIP#3- join lots of clubs and be as soicalable as possible. this will help you with your speech, vocals and singing. Thats all for now!

The best advice is do something else!! Seriously, it may look glamorous and fun, but it's not. It's 16+ hour days and years of starvation and rejection. It's a life many people think they want but if they really knew they would run the other way.

It is extremely difficult to even get an agent to be seen by anyone who would even hire you. Frankly, you would have better odds of winning the lottery than becoming famous.

Sorry kid, but it's the truth. It's a ruthless, cutthroat business and a nice, smart and young little girl like you really should have no part of it.

First of all, theres no such thing as 'make it' if you just want to 'make it' ie be famous you might as well give it up now. However if you actually enjoy it and want to do it even if your broke and unsuccessful your whole life,(99% are so its not a case of 'wanting it' or being 'good at it' there are millions of others just like you. Just make sure you get yourself a really good agent and take whatever opotunities you find...even if its not something you really want to do. Also make sure you have something to do for money when your not actually acting. You'll need it at some point! xx

Here is valuable advice. Make sure that your car has your website or email address on the back window. Sounds crazy? Heh...not in LA. If someone sees you and likes you, they will know how to reach you....and it's not like putting your phone number up there!

The modeling industry is in New York City, not Los Angeles. All of the top modeling agencies are in NYC. If you are serious about modeling you should contact the top modeling agencies in New York City.

I'm a photographer for a small studio in san diego and I help models everyday on their portfolios. Make sure your portfolio is tight before casting. I would consider that the first step.

ok every one can model as in like walking around posing but acting is tough trust me im a actress myself a kid actress anywho it is relly hard sure you get paid tons but you said you have been in plays THATS GOOD its a little practice now your ready for the spotlight

go for it, but don't get cought up in the whole celeb thing, remember who your real friends are, be your self, believe in your self, stay smart, don't give up, don't do things your uncomfortable with
