I'm trying to write a western book series, and although its another western horse opera in the likes of TV shows "Big Valley" and "Bonanza". It is set in the 1850s, any advice on how to create these stories appealing and interesting without getting bored with it as i do soo many times.

I celebrate National Ben H. Cardin day. You spend 2 hours trying to guess his middle name all you know is that it starts with an H. But who knows, he could be lying. So...give it a shot. What do you think his middle name is? It's a life long mystery!! Happy NBHC day! =]

I read alot and was wondering what people think about Terry Goodkinds book Wizards First Rule. I happen to love the book. I checked out the CD unabridged version.( it was 32 hours long) and fell in love with it. Now I am listening to the second book in the serier called "Stone of Tears'. I was just wondering if the entire series is just as good. Since the book has about 10 books in the series. I am now a Terry Goodkind fan for life after reading this. What do you all think??? Comments Appreciated

Why is Sam Shepard always chewing when he is acting? 24 years ago in The Right Stuff he is chewing his way thru a movie. And, he does the same in Blackhawk Down. Did he study gum-chewing in his method-acting classes?

Is it okay to ask for the credit due you for the work that you have done, or is it the ones that know how to steal and take over ideas the best that deserve to take all the credit for them?

The touchstone I'm familiar with is a flat piece of ceramic that has gold in different karats rubbed on them and used to appraise the karats of a gold sample of unknown purity. The most closely matching color indicates the concentration of gold.

According to the Santa Maria's ship records, Columbus was lying prostrate on his bunk (suffering with ghonerrea) at the time of sighting land in 1492. A ships' prostitute called Phil McKraken whose role was to service the needs of frustrated sailors, was named as the first discoverer of the New World. He sighted a headland whilst in the act of servicing an officer and the news was communicated to Columbus the next day.

Then what could be the possible reasons the following situations(not related to any other) happened? You know that saying "Everything happens for a reason"? Be as creative as you want!

Two friends have a night together emotionally bonding to a deeper level and by the end of the night they agree to have a one night stand together with gentle love-making like. BUT The guy has a fiance and his friend he slept with knew that. What could be the reason for that happening? They are much closer friends and they still hang out.

A five year old child dies.

A teenager dies in a car crash.

An innocent pure chaste girl gets raped.

A mother/father/brother is murdered.

Someone wins the lottery.

A three month old infant dies in his/her sleep unexpectedly.

So if everything happens for a reason, what could be the 'reason' why the above situations happened?

Again none of those situations are related to one another.
