Why do people feel obligated to thumbs up or thumbs down an answer that is an opinion? Now, if its a factual based question and answer, and someone gets the facts completely wrong, I can sort of understand...but an opinion?
How do you feel about it?

I read this in a book once. I have my own answer but I was always intrigued as to how other people would answer it.

You and another person are trapped underground in a mining accident. A rescue team is on its way but there is only enough air for one of you to survive until the rescue team arrives.

You have a gun and some sleeping pills. The other person, takes some pills, says "It's in God's hands" and falls asleep.

You have the gun in your hand. What do you do?

I'm trying to help a friend find a book someone showed him about two years ago. He remembers it being a story told by a mother to her daughter about how the grandfather took the mother to see the 17 year locust when she was young and how she now takes the daughter to see them. It was illustrated for children obviously and was only about 1/4 inch thick. It was about 8" by an unknown dimesion.
I've tried researching cicada children's books, but am finding way too many. Thanks

My family history; traced back to coming to the colonies. My Great Great Great grandfather was kidnapped by indians and ransomed back. He married a healer who was a known psychic this gift passed down. He word to be rich and was one of the first settlers in Colorado. HIs son died and they had only one daughter. They founded a town and there are many great stories if told well about fantastic things that happened during that time. The daughter had 13 children, the family very well off. Upon his death all of the assets were stolen including oil wells, land, businesses by 4 of the 13 children. One of them forced her to place a lean on her house to get groceries from a store she should've owned. Eventually refusing to deliver her groceries, they did not offer that service any more. This woman was born to be a princess and acted with grace her entire life, loved by the community and other children I would like to high light her life and what she gave to me. Readable or no?

I wanna feel some pain.
I wanna feel some pain.
I wanna die again.
I wanna die again.

cut me slowly
with a razor sharp knife.
hang me by a rope
and dont let me die.
hit me with a bludgeon
as hard as u can.
make me feel
the pain again.

cos
pain is the god
and pain is the satan.
pain is the hell
and pain is the heaven.
pain is the shield
and pain is the weapon.
pain is the nectar
and pain is the poison.

pain is everywhere
and u can't hide.
pain is the time
and pain is the tide.
pain is in the water
and pain is in the fire.
pain is in the womb
and pain is on the pyre.

so my fren
dont be afraid.
I wont kill you
and leave u dead.
I have an offer
u wont refrain.
give me pain
and I will give u pain.

Is there more of a market for young adult fiction or children's fiction?

I've written two novels, and I'm wondering which I should try to get published first. If the genre matters, the young adult novel is mainstream fiction, and the children's book is historical fiction.

Or insinuation of pregnancy? If not, any characters where it would be funny/ironic if played by a pregnant woman?

Preferably looking for something in the comedies, but tragedies and histories also.

The 10-foot stainless-steel head of Our Lady Queen of Peace was hoisted from sculptor Charles Parks’ studio at Bancroft Mills on Tuesday and driven to Bruce Industrial Co. on New Castle Avenue south of Wilmington.

In weeks to come, the head will be welded to the steel torso and the completed statue taken to Holy Spirit Catholic Church. There it will stand with outstretched arms reaching toward the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

The 34-foot tall Madonna was built for $500,000, the money raised by a local group of Catholics. Our Lady Queen of Peace is the third large Madonna created by Parks and the first to remain in Delaware.
