I just got his Marilyn Monroe poster and it's amazing! His art is so awesome!

I am originally from outside of Pittsburgh, where Andy Warhol was born (his original name was Warhola). The Warhol Museum of Pittsburgh's North Shore is awesome! You should go there sometime!
Ironically, Andy despised the fact that he was from Pittsburgh. Having traveled and partied with jet setters, Andy found Pittsburgh to be too provincial. He was right; although Pittsburgh is a beautiful city, the people are a little too provincial and never really GOT what they refer to as his "soup can" art. The average Pittsburgh joe's taste in art tends to run more toward anything with a Pittsburgh Steelers emblem on it!
In the future, Andy will probably be remembered more for coining the term "15 minutes of fame" than for his art.

I've always liked his art. I've noticed there making all these shirts and stuff with his paintings on it. It's really stupid. Like he's a fad all of the sudden. I think he's films are more interesting than his art though.

Lots of people don't like him and don't understand the whole point of pop art.
I do like him, however. Though I'm not so much into the Marilyn's as I am some of his other works.

I realize it's all about opinion - but I have ~never~ liked him. But it's all about your take on his work, you're the one that has to stare it every day, lol. It's always best to pick art that you love to display. :)

I don't...its a personal opinion, and as such, is mine and mine alone. I don't find anything exciting, inspiring in his work. Some of it is pretty, colorful, even...but thats about it.
