who agrees that so often writers want you to be able to relate directly to a character and they want that character to appeal to such a wide range of people, that their main character often has little to no personality whatsoever. No quirks, no rawness, no spark! Often when reading a novel, I wish the author wrote about a charcter on the side instead of the main one, because he/she is more 'out there,' more interesting.

I never read this book, but a teacher of mine in college read the ending (or at least I think it was the ending). The book had a sled dog in it and he was in a race and he died at the very end, either before he crossed the finish line or right after. If I remember correctly, his heart gave out or exploded or something. Can anyone help me with the name of that book? Thanks!

I have perfect pitch. I never took formal musical lessons past 3rd grade, I can play the guitar, drums, piano (a little) and sing. My 2nd grade viola teacher told me I have perect pitch, my 3rd grade drum teacher told me I should not play drums because they will not be challenging enough and I should play classical symphony. my 6th grade chorus teacher made me headline the concert with a solo in front of the entire school. I have never persued music beyond goofing around with friends.

My question is this. Is perfect pitch rare and is it in any demand career wise? Can I and should I make money from this talent?

Judging Eyes.

Those Judging eyes that burn through like laser beams.

Those judging eyes that peer from a distance, mocking your malady. Looking, watching, staring...
Those Judging eyes with their equipment with their instruments of ridicule going to work on your spirit - your esteem. Those judging eyes bleeding from the strain! watering from the stress of your, goings on. Those judging eyes that are dead yet wide open, beholding your vice, your deeds. Those Judging eyes that will gaze you into the ground that will follow you into your grave. Those Judging eyes...

If anyone is truly wise, would they, ultimately, join a side of good or evil or just observe?... Would they apply their wisdom to helping a war or to ending it, depending on whether or not they were wise?

The only reason some people have more power than others is because of thier weapons. If police officers did not have any weapons, who would listen to them? If a country did not have an army, what would stop invaders? The only reason society can function it seems, is because of the threat of punishment, and the only reason that person can be obtained for punishment, is because fear of getting hurt if running away or ignoring the law.
