Yes, you're probably thinking of Fahrenheit 451. If you haven't read that book, then just consider what would happen if no one was allowed to read, and books were feared and used as kindling. How would the world turn out?

I'm not a depressed or unhappy person, I'm really content with my life. But have you ever wondered just what the point of living is? I mean, we live our lives, but why? What is the reason? Is there a point to going through our lives only to die and be gone forever? I am contemplating this.

I live in Riverside County, and am looking for a good studio to take maternity photos, and then newborn photos later on. Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions. Reasonable prices preferred. Please include a link if you have one! Thanks!

It has been said more often than not "I would die for you!", and this has been said to show the greatest form of love.

BUT lets get real here, Dieing is easy. You die and that is it! Your of the hook.

My question is, would (and could) you love someone enough to live for them, to give up your dreams and aperations to live for some one else, doing anything and everything that they need of you (CANNOT BE CHILDREN)? If so (and if you don't mind saying) who?

Please no religious quotes. SERIOUS answers only please.

Please explain your answers as to why or why not. I thank you in advance for your honest answer.

I visited the grave of my great-great grandparents, who both died in the late 1890s. Unfortunately, time has not been kind to their grave stone, which has pretty badly - most of the inscription on the stone has faded to the point that it's no longer readable.

I was wondering if modern day grave markers would fare any better, if they would still be readable a century after they were made and placed.

Since virtue is knowledge for Plato, it is a necessary and sufficient condition for moral action.

I am 15 years old, and I am just beginning to "discover" who I am and what I will be. Every woman/girl tells me that I'll succumb and marry somebody and have children, but I really don't want to. I believe that a woman does not have to "prove herself" by getting married of being seen hanging on a man's arm. A woman can be as independent, strong, and adventurous as she is capable of being. Please, am I alone in this mindset?? Please do not get me wrong and think that I am a feminist! If a girl honesetly loves a man, then she can marry him - I just don't believe that a girl "should/is expected to" marry.
