There are many books that take a simply historical look at empires and many that look at how bad empires were, but are there any books that look at empire in a positive light, or look at the good things it did for the world, especially regarding the British empire?

Especially the caps worn by the general. The nazis definitely had the best military fashion during ww2! Should I buy the cap on ebay? These days it's sometimes worn by rock musicians.

Let's say you're a person that can draw portraits of people excellent, within a day or two, maybe three, and you're done......... also, you're good with landscapes... you're alright with logos... you have great art skills... but the problem is that no one know about you like that. You realize that people love your drawings and people tell you that you can make a lot of money from it. These are the few people that know about you so far. How would you market yourself in a way to REALLY get your name out there and have many people know about your fascinating artwork? How would you go about making serious money from your portraits of people? What steps would you take to make yourself famous? Even for certain occassions (for example, Valentine's Day is soon here) what would be the best way you would advertise yourself?

The title is something like "garden of secrets" or garden.... something. Basically the storyline is about 2 girls switched at birth, set in NY or NJ. One of the girls character name is Rose. One rich the other raised by single father. Their paths cross as adults they fall for the same guy.
I usually don't read romance novels but I stumbled on this one in 1990 and it was a pretty good read.

I don't believe it is, provided everyone involved is a consenting adult and they use protection.

Sex is the most natural and powerful of human drives. If somebody wants to make a living having sex, and somebody else wants to have sex with that person, who cares?

For myself I wouldn't fool around with a prostitute or be one. And I don't support marriages falling apart or anything, but you can hardly blame that on prostitution.

I'd really like a logical refutation based on something besides Biblical morality.

I'm trying to find some nice poetry to whisper in my boyfriend's ear at a suitably romantic moment. I was looking for some Shakespeare, but like pretty much all classical poetry, it's about a man's love for a woman.

Does anyone know of romantic poetry that goes the other way, or a suitable excerpt?

(I'm not old enough to be in a physical relationship and I don't want to go there. I just want to show my appreciation for him and how much I love him in a more eloquent way than my teenaged tongue can manage.)
