There are many books that take a simply historical look at empires and many that look at how bad empires were, but are there any books that look at empire in a positive light, or look at the good things it did for the world, especially regarding the British empire?

Empires (and imperialism are frowned upon) because national expansion is viewed as extremely aggressive behavior in today's world of international relations. Democracy has spread to every corner of the globe, trade and MNCs are bring people together worldwide, and free labor contracts are perceived as more of an asset than acquiring new natural resources and land.

Below, I given you some pages to an article explaining how the spread of democracy deters imperial aggression. It's 10 pages, so there's 10 links. If you need to enlarge them since the print is so tiny, copy and paste them into a paint document and spread the borders using the picture handles.
