I'm interested in how many people of faith understand the psychology behind their need to believe. Do you believe in God with the understanding that the belief itself is the force behind the power?

I've got a pencil drawing, in a big art pad. It was being worked on on the floor, and the dog ran across it and scratched the surface of the sketch and smeared some of the graphite. Is there any way to restore it? I'm looking for a way to erase the graphite scratched into the paper and re-shade...

I usually buy pre-stretched canvas for my paintings but it is starting to get quite exspensive due to the large scale peices I create. I'm trying to find a place to purchase canvas at a good price. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
-Thanks

I do not understand the end at all....

He describes how after the thunderstorm he “languidly” watched his son pull on his swim suit with no thought of going into the lake himself: “I watched him, his hard little body, skinny and bare, saw him wince slightly as he pulled up around his vitals the small, soggy, icy garment. As he buckled the swollen belt, suddenly my groin felt the chill of death” (202).

What happened?

I have Blender 3D and I need to know if there is one that can be used with open source and so I can also use a digital pad and mouse with it to color and design my models easily.

For me it would have to be Tuesdays With Morrie, by Mitch Albom. I would have loved to meet Morrie. What an amazing view on life, death, and everything inbetween.

And Mitch Albom has an amazing way with words. He describes everything so vividly, it's like you're there, lurking in the corner.

Amazing book.

All movies and plays are obviously artificial, yet people are fascinated and entertained by them. Why doesn't the obvious artifice turn us off? Why do people sit, nearly motionless, for hours watching a screen or a stage?

Our student council puts on a "Favorites Dance." It's always held near Valentine's Day so we need a theme that that relates to Valentine's Day. We are in much need of ideas for themes. Last year it was "Viva Las Favorites" the year before it was "Denim and Diamonds." I'm blank now. I really need some help so if you can that would be GREAT!

There are thousands of years of written history, of which The Classical-Christian nations are really understood or need to be understood in western society. On top of that, there are thousands of "tracks" to take withing even individual natural sciences, social sciences, literature, etc. to "pick" from.

Can you give up understanding physics in order to spend more time studying history more than you already do? Would you be willing to drive into knowing everything about the history of railroad therefore giving up knowing the history of manned space exploration?

If you're like me, and you have many interests that you want to understand, how do you pick? How do you make an order of operations? I am paralyzed by knowledge -- I don't even know where to start so I end up not reading at all, because I feel like picking the first book to read is a monumentous decision, like buying a car or a house.

For my ceramics class, our first project is to make a dwelling of some sort. A lot of people are doing things like beehives, and nests, and teepees and the like. I kinda want to do something that isn't a norm for either humans or animals to be living. The thing does't necessarily need to be living...the teacher said we could do garbage cans, lunchboxes or the moon. It just needs to be something where something else resides. She also said that she enjoys projects that make a statement.

Obviously it would be somewhat hard to make a statement out of a dwelling (at least, I think so...what am I supposed to make, a womb?) but I'd like to do something that has some edge. I was considering an alley (to illustrate homelessness, etc.), but I don't know.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks so much!
