With women becoming more and more prominent in government and politics, how do you think the world would be different if women were the main leaders/rulers?

There'd be few wars. If your country got a women's country mad, she'd ignore you for six months....instead of bombing you.

You actually asked two questions: How would it be different if it were run EXCLUSIVELY by women? and How would it be different if the rulers were more often (mainly) women? In general, I think that in the near future there would be 'not much difference at all' because all change takes time to 'take hold.' In the 'far future' the answer may be that there would be an end to war, more and better 'diplomacy' and that politicians would think more about problems on the 'home front'(like Health and Education) than they would of those in other countries. Your question should go a lot 'deeper' though, and should also go much farther back in history ... because in the past we were a 'matriarchal society' (especially in places like Ireland before Christianity) and you need to 'wonder' how different this world would be if that was the 'norm' we lived under now and in the past, than it is from the way it is now in our 'patriarchal' society.

Women are nurturers so I imagine a world with more money for schools and health care. Probably less war except during that special time of the month. Unfortunately, I would be fearful of the time of the month when all of these women in power have their menses all at once. I can't say that the world is ready for such a world though. We have been ruled by men for eons. I envision that many would absolutely refuse a female in power.

Well, I'm not sure it would change things too much.

Sad to say it, but women are no smarter than men and are just as pig headed. I expect women leaders would come up with just as many stupid policies as the current lot of politicians.

Maybe we would find a few more throw cushions about the place and bowls of pot purri in unexpected places, but on the serious stuff little would change.

Workplaces would be cleaner but women wouldn't be the ones cleaning them.
The silly notion that there would be more "peace" in the world is contradicted by real history of women in charge, to wit: Indira Ghandi, Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir all declared war while they were in charge of their respective nations.

Sexism would never occur, because every time it cropped up, the antagonists would be promptly shot and turned into soylent green.

And I must agree completely with the theory that war would break out every 28 days.

The US wouldn't be so hot headed that's for sure. I think we'd be a little more rational, and we'd take concerns that actually matter to the population (healthcare, social security, childcare, etc, etc) more in consideration that it is now by the current administration. I think the world would still have its problems, but I think we'd be closer to solving them.
