I want to make a career of writing, but I read other writings by much younger people and think they write a lot better than me. They can only get better! It just makes me feel like I'll never make it.
I am never confident with my writing; I am afraid to submit anything. There are so many good writers, how can I even compare?

This book is one I read years ago, and I can't remember the title or author. It is about a man who discovers a little book that can teach a person how to see through things, and it starts by making the man stare into the depths of a candle flame. Once he masters the ability to see through the back of a card and see what the card is, he goes to casinos to make lots of money, and eventually has to resort to more and more disguises to not get thrown out. That's all I can remember right now, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

I saw a T-shirt of these characters the other day and I remembered reading the fable, i think its a fable, but I couldn't remember the name of it or the author. I know the little boy is in pajamas and the monsters are carrying him in a position of triumph or celebration in one of the pictures.

rejected theory? i think it because its proven to be false according to philisophical theories against it and common sense. but the reason it cant be prove false is becasue the solipsist is unable to recognize it. its basicaly philisophical narcissism. what do you think?
