Responding as anything less than a personal justification is pointless, as attacks on the question or questioner absolutely prove that you are too inferior to justify your own existence and prove my case for your eradication

The only reason that I exist is becasue I am too incompetant to contrive my own death and have not been responsible for enough treasonous activities (like helping people that I KNOW have links to terrorists get into the country) for anyone to kill me. I would welcome my own death as I never asked to be born in the first place, was never given a choice as to where, or when, or to who I was born. But as I said, suicide may be painless, but it far too difficult for someone like me to figure out. Add to that the fact that one one will kill me and my existance continues, in sublime dieregard to all descency and common sense. There is NO justification for my existance. I recognize this. I recognized this more than 20 years ago and the fact that I have, for more than 20 years failed to find a way to end my own life, shows just how undeserving of life I am.

"99% of humans are worthless". Is that a fact or opinion. Please don't get me wrong, I am not attacking you or the question. I'm just trying to understand where the truth lies in this comment. I may be considered worthless to you for many reasons. Mainly because I am unknown to the majority. However, in all truth I am not worthless. No human is worthless. For anyone to believe that and speak it without justification is silly.

I realize this is a philosophy "forum" and not religion. Many philosophers are religious. So with that being said, let me justify my existance and the existance of the others that are "worthless".

We all were created by God with a purpose. We might not know what that purpose is, but we have one. We have to figure it out. Saying that we are worthless implies no purpose. No purpose implies God made a mistake and has no idea what he is doing. Do you realize what you are saying making a comment like that?

God is powerful and knows exactly what he is doing. He knew what he was doing when he created me and he knew what he was doing when he created you.

Do you feel you are not worthy of existence? Is this question a way for you to discover the justifications for your own existence?

Question for you...maybe I'll post it to get responses.

How does one measure human worth?
Who says only 1% are worth something?
What part of the greatly diverse world population would not be worth anything?

To end this, because you aren't worth much more of my time, we all are worthy of existence because we matter and we make a difference. Maybe not to you , but to someone else who actually matters.

are ability to care makes us about 55% worthy of existence its true that humans don't do the world much good but really we are at the begging of understanding the effect we have on the world as a hole whether its to late to undo the done is yet to be seen, i think we could speed up the healing proses which would be grand but understanding environmental problems when you live in a bubble is kind of hard are system in which we live is catering for entertainment and a lot of us are sucked into the trap of having to look good or have the latest games console i for one own up I'm not perfect but my understanding is growing and i can see that others are also growing maybe this is the kind of question you should ask when we know for sure are world is completely dieing with no hope. please excuse any spelling mistakes

It is you who is making the big claim, first justify yourself "oh great one" to give us an example of worthiness, then we will try.

Where did you get that percentage anyway?

Or, maybe worthiness is an impossible thing to prove, as it is just an arbitrary, artificial human construct imposed on the world and has no metaphysical foundation. Therefore nobody should have to justify their existence.

Then again maybe i'm too inferior to give a "proper" answer and am a bit sad because i live only for yahoo answer points.

I don't know. Maybe we are all here at this time for a reason which may become clear to some and not to others. I know if I hadn't done the things I have done, then a lot of other people would have been affected. e.g. If I wasn't born to the mother I was, I wouldn't be here to be with the partner I have, I wouldn't be in this house and have built a annex for my mum so I could look after her.
Maybe that's my purpose and that's why I was born. Who says you have to do something that everyone knows about to make a difference. You could be making a difference in one persons life and that's enough.

I was going to give you a well thought out answer, but the rest of your questions is rather....aggressive in nature.

Do you want responses or an argument?

I know a lot of "worthless" people; wastes of skin and air.

I exist to give and receive love from my wonderful wife, my son and grandson. They are all valuable to society in their own way.

I have made my own contributions to society in the form of teaching, counseling and charity.

I don't really have to "justify" my existence of life to anyone. To those who know me, my life speaks for itself. My word is bond; that is more than many men can say. If I tell you I'll do something....I do it. If I tell you I'll be somewhere at an appointed time to assist you....I'll be there. Some men never achieve or surpass that concept.

I don't know why i exist. I just showed up here one day. All I know is that I'm here now, and I'm going to make the best of whatever time I spend here. The way I look at it, if I was not worthy of existence, I would not be here. If I was not worthy of existence, God would not have wasted the resources on me. He would have put them to use on somebody who is more worthy than me. Plain and simple. And where did you hear that 99% of humans are worthless? sounds to me like you pulled that one out of your ***, buddy.

I am worthy of existence because my God says I am. I am the second most important person in the world, aside frome Jesus Christ. No humans are worthless, but some, like myself, are better than others.

How do you define worthless?

To me, your question is worthless but I don't try to attack you for asking it.

We exist as a random occurance anyway, no one has to justify themselves.

If you set yourself up in judgement on others you have failed to see the basic premise of life.

And no, I'm not going to justify why I exist, I don't need to. You have no power over me.

You know something..You are soooo right. We humans don't deserve anything! We abuse the animals, we destroy the earth, we kill our brothers... We are God's mistake. But that's exactly the reason of our existence...To prove Him the opposite...I breath so much air, eat so much food, use so much water every year...but i am trying to prove myself and others that my life worth something..that's why i want to be a doctor to go to Africa or maybe a vet...to heal the world i destroy..Anyway, whatever i do, i will always justify my existance to the people, to me....TO THE UNIVERSE...
