This book is one I read years ago, and I can't remember the title or author. It is about a man who discovers a little book that can teach a person how to see through things, and it starts by making the man stare into the depths of a candle flame. Once he masters the ability to see through the back of a card and see what the card is, he goes to casinos to make lots of money, and eventually has to resort to more and more disguises to not get thrown out. That's all I can remember right now, and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Note: I tried looking through Google, and Yahoo!, and many other search engines and book searches, but was unable to figure out what exactly to search for. My hope was that someone here had read the book and would be able to tell me what it was.

FINALLY - it's been driving me crazy for an hour. I knew I read it and I knew I read it recently. I remembered the end and couldn't think of the title. Finally, I remembered it was by Roald Dahl

"The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar" by Roald Dahl
