We understand the concept of happiness because we have lesser emotions and feelings to compare happiness to, such as sadness, pain, regret, etc. But if badness and all these negative emotions ceased to exist, would happiness still exist, since we would have nothing to compare it to? Think of it this way: if there was no badness or evil from the beginning, would the concept of goodness and happiness exist?
