Why am I one person out of millions that care? Why Do I cry when terrible things happen to my fellow human beings? Why is my heart broken more times then it is healed? I love to care and I love to love others, but why do I feel alone when it comes to giving a damn? We have all been put on this earth to make it better, but it seems to be declining? WHY?

I'm just wondering if you guys knew... and if you guys get what I'm asking. Don't give me any bull like "Hitler" or "Bush"! They didn't physically kill the people themselves. They had an army that did it for them!!!

On those rare occasions that I go to nightclubs I just stand around with a drink in my hand. It would be so much easier to connect to women if I could ask them to dance. The problem is that most "dance schools" don't teach practical dancing that is used in clubs. They teach obscure, archaic stuff like ballroom dancing, cha-cha, etc. Where do I learn those hip dances that are used in the real world?

I've had no formal training but with the encouragement from my co-workers I started a small photography business on the side. The definition of the word, "professional" has changed over the years and seems to mean different things to different people. What determines a professional?? Wikipedia basically states that you can receive payment and still be an amateur. When would I be considered a pro'? After I've completed some courses? If so, how many would I need to take or is it just skill that counts? I remember this term caused some problem with Olympic skaters several years ago....

Would it be dumb to major in theatre in college even though i've never acted before? Would I be behind everyone else? Or would I be taught the stuff that people who've been acting for a long time would know?

We understand the concept of happiness because we have lesser emotions and feelings to compare happiness to, such as sadness, pain, regret, etc. But if badness and all these negative emotions ceased to exist, would happiness still exist, since we would have nothing to compare it to? Think of it this way: if there was no badness or evil from the beginning, would the concept of goodness and happiness exist?

Does anyone think that books such as the ones listed above, and Series of Unfortunate Events, etc..are overrated? That they'll have a sort of a 'book popularity fling' and within 15 years or so, nobody will even recognize any of them?

Maybe Harry Potter and a few others will survive, but I'm doubtful for the others.

What I'm trying to ask here is, is our generation of writers not as good as past generations?
