You can cure either HIV infection or Alzeimer's Dementia?

prevention is the only cure with HIV....as for alzeimer's.....unfortunetely there is no real cure...dont age...but then thats impossible...

HIV infection is almost impossible to cure.
It is basically a virus that multiplies and eats up vital cells (immune system stuff) too. We cant cure it because we haven't yet found anything that will kill it like cancer. The only thing we have been able to do so far is make a medicine that will make the number of good cells bigger. But evenutally, that medicine will be taken over by the virus.

Alzheimers is probably easier to cure.
According to my knowledge, Alzheimers is the wearing down of the brain. Basically the cells die slowly. If we could find a way to rebuild the brain then it might be able to be cured. Even then, if too much of the brain has died, they probably cant fix it.

I would cure Alzheimers because in a totally selfish way, it is most probably going to affect more people who I know. HIV is a man made disease and I know that it is a terrible thing but a lot of the problems stem from ignorance. Surely education is the way forward with HIV. Those poor people with Alzheimers have not got any choices as to whether they put themselves at risk or not, it is just one of those awful things that could happen to any one of us. I pray to God that my parents never get Alzheimers, it is heartbreaking.

there is no cure for either disease. The theory or fact is, HIV can't kill. But it leads to AIDS which kills millions of people. Alzeimer's is just a short term memory thing but it's not as bad as HIV

There is no cure yet for either. Both can be treated. The researchers are getting close to an HIV cure, but they have barely gotten started on Alzhiemers.

the statistics are horrifying and they will only get worse

but you know what, there seems to be hope for both diseases. people are starting to look more and more at things like ageing and death as just a disease. the're starting to question why people's cells and whatever have to decay when they're older and how can the symptoms be cured...

i'm sore in about fifty years or sumthin' HIV & Alzheimers will be way in our past and we'll be well on our way to finding a cure for death.

also, the american public isn't willing to let their taxes go to medical and stem cell research, delaying hope for a cure even further.

i'm no longer shocked. this is clever that selection remedies (while you're talking approximately organic medecine) cured the guy. organic medecine works. however the pharmaceutical companies do no longer want human beings to know that for the period of any different case their multi-billion dollar industry will pass bankrupt. the pharm. companies do no longer want human beings to be healed of illnesses...otherwise they are going to lose business corporation because of the fact there will be no mroe ill human beings! medecine makes you sicker interior the long-term. sorry, I went off somewhat...yet i'm particularly obsessed in this subject.

Neither of those diseases can be cured right now.
HIV can be managed quite well with drugs.
Alzheimer's can be slowed but not stopped with other drugs.

i have a better idea, how about we find drugs that help the people with hiv to live longer, this way they have more of a chance of spreading the disease and making it even more of a pandemic.. idiots,, i have a cure. kill them all, or at least put them on an island
