There are multiple definitions of freewill but it is a paradox if it states we are accountable for what choice we make.

We are not. I can only learn from what is available to me and I cannot choose what is available to me. We have the ability to choose but only within a confined context. The fact that we do not choose the level of confinement means our ability to choose is left at the whim of the confinement, something we did not have control over to begin with thus accountability is a logical fallacy.

Even if God created us on the spot 6,000 years and people established law and order, the next generation would still lack the freewill to decide whether or not they learned from the system because they did not choose the confined context. A man cannot choose what he desires. Desire comes from the confined context whether it is social interaction or genes.

As I am learning about US's true history, not just what is sold to us in History textbooks, I am wondering what and why we have Columbus Day and if the general public even knows... What do you think?

My last name is Falo. I know it means bonfire in Italian. My great great gandfather's name was Gabriel Falo. He had no middle name. He came to America around the 1920s. I would like to know a good website for searching my family history for free and knowing more about my family lineage. Also, I tend to get a lot of websites telling me that I am of English decent. That is false. My name is Falo not Fallow or Fellow. Thank you for any help.

Is it possible that truth - absolute, infallible, unfathomable truth - cannot be discovered and/or defined by those who did not possess it in the first place?

All of the evidence we see, everything we observe in the universe points to a universe that at its core has no evil and no good, no objective morality, just "blind pitiless indifference." It is a universe that has existed for aeons without humanity and will continue to do so long after our light has gone out of the universe. Furthermore, by the very nature of philosophical method's questioning of given knowledge, doesn't it naturally lead you to a realm of purely unknowable chaos?

This is building on a previous question I asked, what are the ten most significant events in modern history? This was the best answer but there was no explanation. WHY and HOW are each of these significant, how did they shape the way the world is today, or send it in this direction?

1) The Fall of Rome.
2) Constantine and the rise of Christianity.
3) The Reformation.
4) Invention of the printing press.
5) The Renaissance.
6) The Industrial Revolution.
7) Both World Wars
8) The Great Depression
9) Invention of the PC
10) Creation of the Internet

"Mama, quit yer bellyachin and whinin. I told ya that ya ain't gonna get that 12 gauge shotgun fer Christmas. Ever since ya done seen them that possums in the backyard, ya won't leave em be."

Are those sentences gramatically correct? Do the sentences have proper structure?

I am looking for an online resource to print panoramic photos (15" x 40", 90cm x 25cm). Also, being relatively new to photography, I need tips on maintaining proper color adjustments when uploading photos to be printed. I am currently shooting with a Canon 10D and using Photoshop CS2 for editing.

My goal in life is to star as either Elphaba or Galinda(Glinda) in the Broadway musical WICKED. i know all the songs, and can sing them perfectly. I live in VA, so there isnt much of a chance here.
