Need a good website for Italian last name.?

Question

My last name is Falo. I know it means bonfire in Italian. My great great gandfather's name was Gabriel Falo. He had no middle name. He came to America around the 1920s. I would like to know a good website for searching my family history for free and knowing more about my family lineage. Also, I tend to get a lot of websites telling me that I am of English decent. That is false. My name is Falo not Fallow or Fellow. Thank you for any help.

There is another Gabriel Falo that I know of. He was the cousin of my great great grandfather Gabriel Falo. Please be aware of this.

These sites should help you. First, start with Ellis Island, to see if Great Grandpa came to the US through Ellis Island. Then, you will have information on where in Italy to look. Here is a collection of sites that will help you in Italy. Also, GENFORUM is very good.
