If life is a test, how could it have any type of reliability or validity? No two people are given the same lot and circumstances in life, so wouldn't that make the results of the tests incomparable and essentially meaningless? I guess life could be a good test if the each set of results was judged invidividually, but many seem to believe that the afterlife is a place where people are separated into large genealized groups, like those who go to heaven, hell, purgatory or move up or down the existential ladder. If life really is a test and peoples' results determine their post-death fate, like children's I.Q. scores may determine what class they are put in, wouldn't that mean that the testmaker has made serious methodological errors?

I WROTE THIS POEM BUT TO ME IT DIDN'T REALLY HAVE A PARTICULAR MEANING. I JUST WROTE IT RANDOMLY HAHA

If the light of the moon was the smile that you showed me
if the smile that you revealed was as bright as the moon
then i wouldn't have to worry
then i wouldn't have to see
what's bringing us down into pieces
what's shattering the mirror
that reflects abundant sunshine.
if that light was what keeps me going, now
i would be starving
Your smile never shows
It's like asking for a blue mopon
It's like asking for another summer
Something impossible
if the light of the moon grew old, like us
if the light of the moon knew sadness and anger,
then there wouldn't be reason to smile
Then there wouldn't be a world to see
and just like i need the moon to see where i am going, just like that,
i need your smile to see if this will survive
if the clouds and the sun...and the circumstances will let us grow old,
and survive.

Are there any out there as good as Flowers in the Attic? I really care about the characters and I cry and suffer right along with them.

I read Into the Forest by Jean Hegland awhile ago, and it was excellent. Incest wasn't the main topic but it was touched upon.

Does any one think that the twins small size could have been because of the close relationship between the parents and not the lack of sunlight?

I just reread the first two novels for like the 6th time.

After 8 months, i think, Cathy and Chris noticed the kids weren't growing and measure them and they'd only grown 2 inches. Who's to say they would have grown if they'd been in the sun?

When do you think the Mother started poisoning them? They said the doughnuts started coming while their mother was on honeymoon. So do you think the grandmother and mother were in it together? Do you believe the mother when she said she only wanted to get them a little sick?

I know it's wrong, but I love Chris' undying love for Cathy, and I wish the third novel had been written in Chris' point of view, because I would have loved to know more about the girls he slept with and what he did while he was away from Cathy.
