What was it like in the 50's? I mean the year by the way. Not the age. By the way, I didn't know what topic to put thus under.

I found a site that did show my maternal grandfather's information (including his birth&death dates, along with his SSN, how screwed up is that!) but, when I searched my maternal grandmother, no hits. I have recently found out alot about my dad's side and would like to know a legitimate site (that doesn't cost) that could help me find out more information about the grandparents I never met. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This has no cover art. I think they are glorified galleys in book form that they shop around to book sellers, movie producers etc. Would a fan be interested in something like that. NB, there are no links to me, I am just curious.

Which of the following do you think was the most crucial battle?
ie, if the Allies would have lost then they would have lost the war. Sorry, but i'm only concentrating on war against Germany and its European allies and not Japan.

Battle of Britain
Battle of the Atlantic
Defence of Moscow 1941-1942
Stalingrad
El Alamein
Kursk

i LOVE drawing, and my mom and dad really think i need to keep doing this and become an animator or video game maker. but i don't know what that would be called. I want to be able to animate and create video games. I know it would be some school for the "arts" but that's not good enough. X.o

I want to know what you think...give me your views...And if HONOR is an illusion...isn't everything else just the same? Why do people personify things? Is it indeed just human nature?

My great grandparents immigrated from Sevelen, St. Gallen, Switzerland and some ancestors I believe lived in Berne, Switzerland also. I'm trying to find out how to access public records, such as birth, marriage, and death records. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched everywhere for a particular picture or cartoon.

I would like to find something for a BE RIGHT BACK sign for a store. Something to the effect of a person running around in all directions, hectic, holding lots of things etc.

I cant find anything in any searches, or whatever sites I have found,( which are many)- does anyone know of a specific clip art or picture and where to find it?

Many thanks!

I'm wondering where I can find this book called I, mandarin. I asked b/c it was on the back of an album called, "Curse of the horseflesh" & the title was called, "burning up the jade" Courtesy of The Jade Restauraunt authentic chinese & western cuisine. On the back, was a page that seemed interesting & was curious to read. So, the page was shown & it was on pg.214 & had a picture of a woman gettin a shot from some kind of doctor in a mask w/ 3 eyes of it & a crowd of random Chinese civilians.
Part of the album said on page 214:

"...Laughed his head off. In another hourhe'd be sobbing in his bourbon, the jerk. I had a date with his wife. It was way past cocktail hour when I tracked down the back alley entrance the the Jade. A dog squatted a few feet away and s*** on a pile of San Francisco Chronicles, which reminded me I had to renew my subscription. A panel slid open...."

That's pretty much of what I can tell you b/c the details I typed were over the limit... :(

Can someone help me understanad the phrase MORAL LOGIC?
I am taking a class on suicide terrorism and authors throw it around like it is common knowledge. I thought I had a handle on it, but I read another article and they don't seem to be talking about the same thing.
