The Public Library. There is a yearly publication that list that years current value of books being sold. It is a reference book so you must look the books up at the library. The books are valued by the condition, printing (first editions), if they are signed by the author, or have some unique value such as a famous previous owner.

Good Luck

try ask Jeeves or ask.com to get info on auction houses in your area... go to an antiques web site, or maybe even amazon.com. but don't do anything with them until you get some info, maybe even try your local library...
