Gandhism is a very deep and beautiful philosophy while I would put Gandhigiri as following Gandhism in a way though rather small. Gandihism is very relevant today in this world of corruption, hypocrisy and rotten political culture. Gandhiji believed that truth transcended everything and voilence should be abjured.
We are living in a violent times therefore his teachings and even to a small extent Gandhigiri is relevant.

The term Gandhism is vulnerable to be abused by most of its users. This is so very often mis-represented by its self-styled followers. This can be an easy mask to fool the large majority of illiterates, for the sake of the public leaders' selfish ends. The term Gandhari, in contrast, has no such limitations, when in a given context her image counts. The true value of Gandhism is far from the attributes of gandhari in time and distance. Yet the lady in blind-fold out-performs the former idea (Gandhism).
The other part of the question holds true with wider acceptance of suggestion that as an epitome of all the best of human history and experience. Gandhi must remain an un-obliterable entity in memory of posterity.

Yes. Gandhari Closed her eyes for all the evils done by her sons Kauravas'. But Gandhi opposed the evils by doing 'Satyagraha'. If you are sitting simply without opposing evils means indirectly you are supporting them. Instead of that you can tell them you are not happy with that.

Yes Gandhi is relevant but not Gandhism.

Gandhigiri is just a new term for Gandhism.

As for its relevance, you will have to figure that out for yourself, as every philosophy or life path requires personal reflection and inquiry.

Let’s be sure we are ready to do that first as without it we can just be talking about Gandhi without having any real intention of following the beliefs he lived his life with, in our lives. Be sure the meek cannot follow it nor can the untrue.

He was success in his freedom struggle because he lived what he talked about, may that be our first lesson of Gandhigiri or Gandhism or what ever term you might want to call it.

“My life is my message,” he said so often.

So let’s ask ourselves what message does our life gives, to ourselves and our coming generations.
