I'm new to town. I've not found any ethnic theater in the area. I've done lots of theater in college and have written, directed and produced 3 plays of my own. I've also directed several award winning plays and won awards for my acting. I said all that to say I have some experience....but don't know how to start and organization.

I think people don't believe in the bible because they don't want to get their toes stepped on. I think people want to do what they want and live how they want guilt free and if they believe in the bible they can't do their own thing. They don't want to feel guilty about any of their sin. But sin is sin no matter which way you look at it. The only way to heaven is to admit you're a sinner, ask God for forgiveness and accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior. That is what He died on the cross for. He paid the price for not just our past sins and our current sins but also for the sins we'll commit in the future. He knows all that we do before we do it and He is willing to forgive us because He loves us UNCONDITIONALLY. People who can't / won't FORGIVE, can't / won't understand UNCONDITIONAL love. It' forgiving & loving no matter what. That doesn't mean u take abuse but u forgive & love. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today.

I LOVE to write, but am I good at it? I have very strong emotions at times, and let them out through poetry. People I know tell me my poetry is wonderful, but I have doubts, are they just being nice because they love me? Here's a few poems I have written, please be honest but not rude.

Insignificance

The sun shines,
The world goes on.
Who cares about my little life?

Insignifigant, that's what I am.
My friends love me,
But who really cares?

Then who cared about Abe Lincoln?
I suppose everyone is insignificant...
But all those little people weave to form the world.

Is the Earth a quilt?
Some patches are bigger then others,
But God doesn't care.

Live life,
Challenge yourself.
Be yourself.

That's what they all say.
But in truth, why can't you live?
Living and being are different.

I want to become myself,
Not live just another life.
Do something with my insignifigence.

Life goes by so quickly,
We must live it.
Before we discover it has passed through our fingertips,
Then it will be too late to live and to love and to learn.

My 11 year old daughter just finished reading a story. The whole time she was reading she'd stop and excitedly tell me what was happening to the main character. Suddenly......she gasped. She then started to just sigh. Finally her bottom lip started quivering. As she finished the story, she looked up at me and said, "That is the saddest story I've ever read." She put her book back on the shelf and then turned around and said, " I love books that make me feel......" I said, "Books that make you feel how?" She corrected me by saying, "No Mom. I like books that just make me.....FEEL."

I have to agree......a book that brings out ANY emotion is a book you want to savor.

So what book out there makes you.......Feel?

I want to get some of my poetry published. I was wondering if enough people still read it, and if you are a young author/poet, have you ever been successfully published? How did that process work? what i want is either a top 10 format or top 3 or just your opinion of the ultimate military leader. the guidlines are as follows
1. can be any leader, i.e. general, king, president, outlaw, ect
2. must have been in control of an army at at least on point in their carreer
3. did not have to have been in any conflicts
4. NO age, gender, religion, race ect.. requirements
