Okay, so many people have answered this, but I'll give it best answer a shot. His name was Clive Staples Lewis, aka C.S. Lewis. He was born November 29, 1898. He died in 1963. He disliked his first name, so adopted the name "Jack" after his dog who had died. That's all I know, besides the fact that he was good friends with J.R.R Tolkien who wrote the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit.
