Well it's fate. You know the thing you have no control over. Plus things happens for you can learn from them << that is a part of growing up learning from experience by things that "happened" to you. And Everything happens for a purpose and reason >> which is why we're here. Maybe my purpose was to answer this question. IDK Why? That is something each individual have to find out on their own.

Why am I "me" of all the infinite possibilities? I don't believe in solipism because without the universe as it appears my mind couldn't have developed. And yet, here I am, I'm not you, and I'm me and it makes no sense.

nice question, i've thought of that before. hmm, well i think no one knows. people say its "fate". dunno maybe because thats what their religion taught them. well if you believe in god, then think that He plan everything for you and just accept everything possitively. true or not, the concept is good.
