here is the problem:

90*(.9572^x)+
80*(.0214^x)+
80*(.0214^x) =100

now...solve for x (the equation is all one line, but the formatting gets screwed up!)

i tried to take the log of both sides, but i think that's wrong.

(note: here is why... log (a + b + c) does not equal log(a) + log(b) + log(c)... try it with a=20, b=40, c=50.... log (a + b + c) = log(110) which is not the same as log(20)+log(40)+log(50)... i think this is the key to the problem.... in the equation above, you have a similar situation where there are 3 terms that are added together....)

if anyone can show me how to solve for x it would be much appreciated!!!

I have never been to the Deep South but I hear about that hospitality, at the same time folks tell me it isn't real or it is faked or that it is real and genuine from other people. So which is it?

Hopefully will one day visit or move to the South.

There is a girl in one of my classes at scool she is one of the greatest people I know, but she has down syndrome. When she found out I take karate she was very interested and wants to take it as well. I am just worried about her because she becomes very depressed when she can not succed at something ( there is not much that she can't do but participating in gym is real hard for her), almost suicidal. I don't want to make her unhappy. I have heard about people with special needs suceeding in karate. I just don't want to hurt her. Should I encourage her to take it or suggest she find another activity she is interested in.

her parents don't care as long as she is happy- should i consult one of her paras

i had a pregnancy scare recently after having sex with my boyfriend a few times he put it in me without using a condom but he didnt *** inside of me and the times we had full on sex we used protection and i have been on the birth control pill. i was 2 weeks late though for my period and i had all the symptoms of pregnancy then a couple days ago i woke up with really bad cramps and it was my period it has been quite heavy so i had a sigh of relief and didnt ring the doctors for my results today as i dont think theres any possible way i could be pregnant now, but my best friend told me i should have rung as theres still a chance of being pregnant is she right?

I dont like using the word dead or died because it makes me sad. My mum..left us when I was eight. It was cancer that made her ill. I am 14 now but miss her alot. I need her right now. I live with my dad and 3 brothers. I feel really bad because she was cremated, i didn't want her cremated (even though she wanted to be.) and i didnt want her scattered (we scattered her ashes outside in the garden at the church, i wanted her kept in one place) but i guess i was too young for my voice to be heard. I need her right now. I used to cut and I have eating disorder tendencies. I have ran away once but was persuaded to come back. I wish I could die, so i try starving but end up giving in to temptation, i cut but i am scared of the pain. I just want to go outside at night and raped and battered and killed because I feel like i deserve it and that i wouldnt take the blame if i died. I am crying right now. ugh can somebody help me

How much people actually leave a legacy they want to leave?

All these people who proclaim to "live life to the fullest" how much of them really actually do? I feel that to be a very generic saying to make, because with the culture we live in, everything seems to be very superficial. And god knows that instant gratification-has become a poison. I think people tend to live very sloppy in this day and age actually. Especially when it comes to relationships.

So how much people do you think leave a legacy they want or actually found what they wanted?

After weeks of harrsement from his father he finally told me about it. I called the cops but they did nothing. My son said he should kill himself and that he was sorry he was gay and that he was causing so much trouble. thats the last thing i want him to be thinking about but he won't listen to me. My aunt is about to file for divorce from my uncle for the 3rd time in about 3 or 4 years. They have been married since 1992 and have a 12 yr old daughter. She has filed for divorce twice before and both times he did the baby i swear i will change bull crap and never does. So now shes divorcing him again. My question is, is there a maximum number of times a person can file before the courts say you cant file no more or they make you get divorced. I heard this some where and was wondering if it was true. Also if it makes a difference...they live in kansas.
