Heh Best team ever not yet, if they have a lot more winning seasons than maybe, but no. now if you said this decade then i would say yes, they have only missed the play-offs what once? maybe two time and won 3 Super Bowls in a 4 year time span. That is one hell of an accomplishment. if the Pats get this 2007 season Super Bowl they will be 2nd overall with 4 Super bowl wins while the Steelers, Cowboys and 49ers have 5 tied for first place. still a long way to go before they can be called best ever. Hell the 49ers have the best Super Bowl win percentage going 5-0 in their appearances the Cowboys have 8 total Super bowl appearance and lost 3 of them. Pats a one of the elite teams but best ever not yet.

To be the best team, personally I believe you have to have a spotless record. It just comes with the territory. I think what the 2007 patriots did will spoil their chances of being the best team ever, even if they arguably are. Sorry but I'm sticking with the 1972 dolphins.

They were and never will be best. 16-0 is very nice, but without a superbowl win, it sucks.
