All too often 'Believers' resort to name calling, bullying, intimidation, lies, and other underhand tactics to "prove" their belief that AGW is real.

If AGW is real, if it is truly happening, then why do they have to resort to such low brow tactics? Why not take the high road and just tell us if it will be warmer next month and how they came to their conclusions?

If they have the facts, why not use them for their arguments?

Does the fact that they resort to intimidation tactics imply that AGW isn't really happening, and this is more a political belief than a scientific argument?

It seems to me that if AGW was real, it would be so easy to shut up the "skeptics" with facts.

After all, their is no debate over Ohm's Law, the speed of light, or any other science that is in fact real.

Not even the "believers" can tell you if it will be warmer or colder next year any better than a coin toss.

I am 23 and a freshman in college. I have two boys (2 an 4) and I am thinking about joining the AF. Mostly because I have found it nearly impossible to attend school and provide for my boys (healthcare, housing, etc) and because I love this country!

This is a huge decision and so I am asking everyone for any thoughts or advice about this? Really anything! Things to watch out for, good points, how I should help my boys, etc.

Thanks:)

From YA help:
Are questions deleted after they are resolved?

Resolved questions are never deleted. Once a question becomes a Resolved Question, it stays in Yahoo! Answers, available for searching and browsing. You can continue to share what you know by evaluating the Best Answer.

So why are they deleting resolved questions?

We read that to justify their very exstance after their '110% Madeleine home by Christmas' disaster, Metado 3, the Manuel of all detective agencies have again lanched an attack on Robert Murat. We read that 2 sisters Annie Wiltshire and Jayne Jensen who had a drink with Robert in the Algarve on 4th May have suddenly remembered that 'He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and jeans and was very sweaty.
“He said he had to go for a shower because he had been in the same clothes all day, but Jayne claimed she had seen him in a striped shirt and trousers earlier.

Clear evidence then that a man sweating in the Algarve in May must be guilty of something... who writes this crap for Metado 3 ?

I have two friends, one 17 and one 21 and i'm not sure if it's legal for them to have sex. The law is that it's okay for a 17 year old to have sex with adults, but does that apply for homosexuals too? Anyone know and can give full detail?

1. Strong theist.100% probability of God. In the words of C. G. Jung, "I do not believe, I know."

2. Very high probability but short of 100%. De facto theist. "I cannot know for certain, but I strongly believe in God and live my life on the assumption that he is there."

3. Higher than 50% but not very high. Technically agnostic but leaning towards theism. "I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God."

4. Exactly 50%. Completely impartial agnostic. "God's existence and non existence are exactly equiprobable."

5. Lower that 50% but not very low. Technically agnostic but leaning towards atheism. "I don't know whether God exists but I'm inclined to be sceptical."

6. Very low probability, but short of zero. De facto atheist. "I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable, and I live my life on the assumption that he is not there."

7. Strong atheist. "I know there is no God, with the same conviction Jung "knows" there is one."

I am a Hindu and I take pride in my religion. Although I never really looked into it with depth I follow what my parents have taught me. I am beginning to have doubts about my religion.... everyone has their own idea of what Hinduism really is, especially on Yahoo! Answers... that is what i see. Some people think of Hindus as people who basically worship everything they see. Some people think of Hindus as people who just do yoga. Some people think that Hindus worship 330 million gods while other disagree and say that they only worship one. Some people (with mental issues) think that Hindus gods are perverts...

I'm sorry but I'd have to say that with this confusion, 50 years or so from now... the beliefs of Hinduism will not be as popular or as successful as they are failing to be right now.

I believe that if you want to believe in a religion, you have to be clear in what you believe in.

Don't you agree?

All opinions are welcome.

Was it just me, or was Merlin's hut in Shrek 3 covered in Druid symbols? I saw at least one Triskele on the wall. This raises another question...

If you all remember the religious hype the zealots threw up about the Golden Compass movie. Disney is using Pagan symbols in their movies, why aren't they protesting that? Children might get curious about those symbols and go researching them, and who knows... They might even decide to become Druids. Then again, nothing wrong with that, is there?

Listening to alot of old farts who played in the NHL pertaining to cheap shots nowadays, most of them seem to think part of it was fear. You knew that if you dished out a hit from behind or a vicious slash, there would be a big price to pay, you were going to get pummeled by someone and not down the road but right afterward. They would self police sort of speak. Beat the bloody snot bubbles out of the offender, in turn, guys would think twice before doing something stupid.
Seems to me the NHL has gone soft, instead of handing out these ridiculous inconsistent suspensions, let the players handle it themselves. I mean, you can still give them their 5-10 game suspensions but let them pay the price old school. Get rid of the instigator. I believe that if the instigator were to go, the cheap shots would go down.

Do you agree that no instigator penalties would equal less cheap shots?
