From YA help:
Are questions deleted after they are resolved?
Resolved questions are never deleted. Once a question becomes a Resolved Question, it stays in Yahoo! Answers, available for searching and browsing. You can continue to share what you know by evaluating the Best Answer.
So why are they deleting resolved questions?

I'm extending this question so more people can see it. We should do each other a favor, and when our resolved question is deleted, we should appeal it.

I have had this happen about twenty times. Yahoo will never directly answer your question. It's like pulling teeth with a pair of pliars even trying to make any sense of what they do.

They lie! I know for a fact they delete resolved questions. I will find some I know were deleted and edit what they were.
EDIT: These three questions were all deleted at the same time. Each was resolved and they were all in a row. Violation notices were all received together like a package deal.

Hey all you people from P&S...? 33 answers ( Question has been removed)
Have I told you lately...? 39 answers ( Question has been removed)
This happened four months ago on a different account.
These are not the only ones, but these were the most memorable.
SECOND EDIT: The account that these questions were deleted from is still open. It has not been deleted.

I think that if an account it deleted than the questions asked from that account are deleted

I appealed a deleted resolved question and they restored it. It's posted in my blog... lol... but yes, for some reason users can delete resolved questions.

It happened to me twice in the past month!
I asked questions. I chose a best answer. I then got a violation notice.
Reason: Chatting
My question was not a chat. It was legitimate.
