im 39 weeks and i lost a huge clear chunk the other day

Yes. You WILL have bloody show - bloody show happens shortly before delivery, after you've been actively been laboring and the blood vessels in the cervix start breaking from the dilation. Usually we see it when you hit that 7-8 centimeter point.
Bloody show is completely different from the mucous plug. Many people are very confused about this and refer to them as the same thing, but they are not.

I just had a clear mucus plug with my son, I never had a bloody show. It all depends on your body.
With my first I had a bloody show, there was nothing clear about it. So it all depends on your body and your pregnancy. I would say that is all you are going to see.

When I lost my mucus plug it had a little tiny spot of pink in it. No blood later at all. Good luck!

sometimes but sometimes you dont even see the plug..its so faint in color and it can usually happen when your wiping yourself after going pee
