How do you break from an addiction to a fetish? How do you keep from being so depressed if you dafault and endulge in it again?

A friend of a friend's baby was born with some slits on her neck that supposedly never closed prior to birth. The mother claims these slits are normal and help the baby to breathe while inside the womb but should close up before birth. Hers didn't.

Since she was born 4 months ago, fluid leaks from these slits and the baby will have to undergo surgery to close these slits or "gills" in a few more months.

Can you shed any light on this? I have never it of it before in my life, and I am 60 years old.

I was going to talk to my doctor about it tomorrow and when I told my dad that he seemed to think it was just made worse by me reading about it. I'm still seeing the doctor, but could it really be in my head? Please give me some possibilities and some things that would go along with them so I can see what's really happening. (I mean like what would happen to me if it was psychosomatic, what would I be doing that proves it's pyschosomatic)
Does psychosomatic mean what I think it does, lol that's the word my dad used. THANKS.

all the sightings so far have been on earth, not in the solar system or galaxy. Surely if something existed it would be visible outside of Earth and not just in the sky.

Myth #1: We can’t afford a national health care system, and if we try it, we will have to ration care. My answer is that we can’t afford not to have a national health care system. A single-payer system would be far more efficient, since it would eliminate excess administrative costs, profits, cost-shifting and unnecessary duplication. Furthermore, it would permit the establishment of an overall budget and the fair and rational distribution of resources. We should remember that we now pay for health care in multiple ways – through our paychecks, the prices of goods and services, taxes at all levels of government, and out-of-pocket. It makes more sense to pay just once.

Myth #2: Innovative technologies would be scarce under a single-payer system, we would have long waiting lists for operations and procedures, and in general, medical care would be threadbare and less available.

On my mutual funds, I received transactions like this:

Dec 18, 2007 Capital Gain Reinvested $63.16
Dec 18, 2007 Capital Gain Payment $29.81
Dec 18, 2007 Dividend reinvestment $12.28

This is a tax question - I understand what is going on here, but I forget which is short term and which is long term - the payment or the reinvestment? I know the dividend is normal income.

thanks!

I would like to know your opinions on how much more, you think, the yuan will continue to increase, in value. I'm pretty interested for the answer to this question because I'm Chinese and my dad owns some property in China so if the value goes down to say 5 or 6 yuan or so to 1 usd, I would be pretty dam happy... what do you guys think? After five years how much will the yuan be worth compared to the dollar?

co-signer is spanish speaking and was unaware that they made him the primary person. he specified that we will only co-sign. the car was purchased for the daughter and the father co-signed. she moved out and we have no idea where she has the car and has not been making any payments. he tried to explain this the the lender but they said he's responsible which he wasn't aware that he was the main person on the contract and not the co-signer.

Just a little fun to lighten things up after my last question. I've always wondered.

As for me, well, I started out in R&S and I wanted to people to understand that my Muslim perspective was based on my CHOICE to become a Muslim. As for my avatar, well, it was the closest thing I could find to the way I actually look, atleast in public that is.

Hi. I'm trying to install Medieval War II: Total War on a brand new supercomp that runs vista(unfortunatelly) and it crashes at medieval2.exe. I get the following error message: Data Error(cyclic redundancy check) and the installation process gets terminated.

I should also note that sometimes it goes beyound medieval2.exe only to crash at another file giving the same error. Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone know how to fix this?
