You must find a therapist to discover what the underlying emotion causes the fetish and deal with that first.
Then you will need to work with a therapist on some behavior modification techniques. The therapist will help you hold yourself accountable to your goal.

It's called will power. Unless you have enough willpower and the determination to never go near it again, you'll never make it. It's a second by second thing sometimes, refusing to allow yourself to go there. That's fine, take it second by second if you have to, just continue to do that.

I'm a long ago ex-girlfriend of an alcoholic. Went to all the meetings with him, etc. He didn't make it. Died this past July, 20 years after we broke up, still drinking. We had remained friends, though, which I'm glad for.

You take up a healthier positive addiction instead.
eg. Say take up a sport? then two... and so on...
eg. Volleyball and Table Tennis are great fun... and cycling is good too. All these encourage positive reactions within your body, and generally allow you to mix with others who enjoy the same.
You become so busy with new positive activities - you forget about things of the past, which you don't need anymore...

You have to keep in mind that being Christian will not stop you from being tempted. You should feel bad but you shouldn't feel totally despaired. We are human and will mess up sometimes. Pick yourself back up and vow hard to try not to do it again. Ask for forgiveness and strength. I've heard the more you resist the easier it is to say no the next time.

My heart goes out to you.
It's a long hard road. One you can't travel alone. Get some help and you'll be great.
The depression is self defeating - you have to learn to forgive yourself. I've been there though... and it hurts. There's lots of others that know how you feel. Tomorrow will be better!
I know these words don't help much - but you can get help. Good luck.

Why would be depressed about a fetish unless that fetish is harming yourself or others? It sounds like you are a victim of religion. You can easily cure yourself from religious belief just using common sense:

You need to find what holds on to that addiction for you. It's probably in a memory of yours. We do 95% of what we do from memory. Once you find the icon, you can get rid of the program that throws the desire into your thoughts too.

I gave mine to the Lord. He has delivered me in full, as only God can. No default. No indulgence. Here's a list:
Tobacco: cigars and cigarettes
Marijuana: chronic use, up to 1/2 oz. per day, most days
Alcohol: 12 pack of beer per day, 1/2 gal. Crown Royal per week, drank daily
Over two years, dope free.... over a year tobacco free...... over a year alcohol free. No want, need, or desire to indulge in them. Of course, a desire to serve God fills the void that was created by their loss.
