I recently watched a man stand on the edge of the GG bridge hanging on while onlookers tried to persuade him back. It troubles me deeply that people in general desire to take their own lives, but I'm curious to know why the GG Bridge is such a popular suicide destination?

Would the interaction happen like War of the Worlds (destructive) or K-pax (pieceful).

I had this debate with my old roommate. We were watching a show where Hawkings said, "If aliens reached our planet, there will be dire cosequences for man kind." We debated. She believed that it would. Assuming evolution does happen not only on earth, the species that are so developed that they can travel through space must be the alpha species. Given evolutionary principles, the alpha species are known to be the most aggressive, dominate, and consumes excessive amounts of resource. (Her reasoning is that they wouldn't be alpha species if they didn't hold these characteristics.)

I had to admit, her theory was quite interesting. I'm kind of interested in hearing your ideas too!

I (asian) and him (american) began chatting online as friends for 8 months. At that time, we both did not expect about loving someone on net and we thought it was a stupid idea to do so but as the time passed by, we found we fell in love each other because our point of view toward many things are almost similar. Then we decided to be bf and gf and since then we have talked at least 3 hrs per day. Most of the time that we talk, we are really sweet to each other and ofcourse, we fight sometimes either but it is solved subsequently. Up to know, its about 7 months already that we decided to be bf and gf. We have talked about many plans and to be honest, i also help him to release on cam. He was offered a job in my country and he will start his work in feb but he will come here one month earlier in order to see me.

belief?

There is only one God, and Jesus was a highly inspired man whose beliefs are worthy of respect and admiration.

God is found in three forms: father, son, and holy spirit.

Jesus was a fraud who deserves no respect.

There is no God whatsoever.

The solution to a math problem is often negative, but are none-the-less incorrect when tested against the real world. I am looking for things whose value CAN NOT be negative:

Are these examples?

gravity
mass
the length, area, or volume of anything

Are there others?

My credit score is 730, but, since I teach for an online college, my income is only around 22,000/year. My fiancée’s credit score is low (we've yet to check it; but I'm doing that this week before we meet with a financial advisor as part of our pre-marriage counseling). I would guess it is in the 500s. My fiancée makes about 55,000 a year. We are both in our mid-twenties.

We are recently engaged with the date set for October of 2008. I would like to wait to buy a house until after we are married, but I am worried about what will happen to our rates and credit scores after we get married.

Should I try to buy a house before we get married, or would it be okay to wait? How much of a financial or rate hit would we take if we wait? Would it help if we waited and my father (who has a high credit score and income) cosigned?

Any advice is appreciated!

Believing the KJV is NOT a cult but believers in Christ who believe that the King James Version of the bible is superior in accuracy to copyrighted paraphrases currently being marketed. Most have been raised to memorize the beautiful Elizabethan language and do not want to waste time relearning the now familiar bible verses. Others have studied long and hard about how different versions were translated and want to have an accurate translation of the Word of God.
We do not worship the bible. The bible is not kissed, bowed to or prayed to. The scriptures are the words of the God we love.
We reject all other bibles because there can only be ONE word of God. While many churches have forsaken reading the bible out loud because of the different wording of different versions, KJVO churches often read the bible together. This is only possible if you share the same book. Why do some criticise the KJV and no ohter version? This just cements in my mind that the KJV is the right bible for me

I'm making red velvet cookies for Christmas this year, and I'm an amateur baker. Can I replace the vegetable oil with canola oil, since it's a little healthier? Will the texture change at all if I do? Thanks in advance!
