i need to know how old you have to be to bet one without a parent?

Moon Pie is absolutely correct and there is NO parental consent. It is 18 period. It is a class A misdemeanor if anyone tattoos a minor - parents need to understand that as well.
It gets really annoying to have stupid parents try to push us to tattoo their little kids!

In Illinois, it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 (even with parental consent). It's the same way in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ohio. You will have to wait, but it will be worth it.

Call cityhall and ask. In WI you have to be 18, but I'm not sure what the law states in IL.

state law says you have to be 18, but in some states you can get it done earlier with parental concent, and if the tattto artist will ink you that young.

Well last time I checked you have to be 18 to get it on your own, but you can get it when your 14 if you have a parent present, they have to sign a release form and give you a written consent.
