Besides the Bible, have you read any Christian writing from a 1st, 2nd or 3rd century Christian.

Writings which are from people who were either deciples of Christ or the deciples or deciples of deciples of Christ and the Apostles.

You know it might be helpful to know what these individuals believed about scripture, how they actually worshiped or believed about what they were being taught.

You read Pagan writers Plato, Socrates, Aristotle. Why not read people who were 40 year deciples of the Apostle's such as St. Ignatius of Antioch.

If only to enlighten yourself on what people 2,000 years ago believed so that you may come to compare it to what your 21st cetury church teaches or hopefully come to value how faithful your churches teachings and practices have been to these first deciples

If you have not, check it out, here is a good start...

I was planning on tiling my living room with nice porcelin tile. There is a stair case in the living room that goes to a second floor that had carpet but I removed it. Now there is generic builders wood stair case underneath it that is unfinishable or usable. I want to put a wood or laminate over it. The stairs are 11 x 35 and I only want to cover the foot (step) portion. Is there a laminate or wood that has the nose piece and foot portion all in one built in? I just want something to install over it that is easy and will kind of fit right over the stair without having to install seperate pieces. Any help is much appreciated.

Well, we always have questions like "What's your favorite solo?" or that only pluralized. I decided to put a little twist and ask something similar, but not quite.

What are your favorite solos from the:

50's:
60's:
70's:
80's:
90's:
00's:

Answer as many or as little as you want (please answer at least one though!) with as many or as little answers to each decade as you want.

And a bonus question if you want to answer it: What're some of your favorite bass solos/performances?

Don't hate my avatar.

I'll post my list later on.

The headache is accompanied by nausea and I always feel like I'm gonna have diarrhea but never actually have it. What could be the matter? I have the headache as soon as I wake up and it lasts the whole day. It's not an accute one but dull and constant. The backs of my thighs and calves also get sore, like when you have really bad diarrhoea.

anyone wacthing cnn tonight see the big story about the CIA using waterboarding as a form of torture? I am an X marine and it is my opion that this is not torture. i can see how people woud be bothered by it..its not eaclty a nice thing to do....on Cnn they talked about how they used waterboarding on one of the key al queda guys, and it only took 38 secounds for him to give up valueable info... so lets look at waterboarding...a bunch of water is pourded down your throat to make you THINK you are drowning...so no real physical damage...no real pain...no disfigurement...its not like we are cutting peoples heads off...or sticking needles under fingernails....i am sorry i guess i just dont have much compassion ...i mean American lives were saved b/c a terroist was scared into talking? i mean 38 secounds of fear is all it was...and if american lives can be saved by scarying the hell out of bad guys so be it....i just cant see it as torture b/c there is no physical damage or mental damage...

A student from Psychology class says to you,My professor spends too much time discussing a weird thing called ‘synaptic transmission’.
But I’m a Psych major, I just don’t understand why we need to learn about this!” Provide a convincing explanation for why every student of psychology
should be keenly interested in the process of synaptic transmission. Use at least one relevant
example that supports your explanation.

Is it common for a business or group to pay money to have a news article that is favorable to them published? When I read a newspaper or a magazine it seems like a lot of the stories are slanted. (The story is one sided and both sides of an issues are not being presented.) Also, many times I can't figure out why this article is even being published. Thank you for your answer.

In the last movie, The Bourne Ultimatum, there is a scene between Nicky Parsons and Jason Bourne that suggests they have a history. Is there anything in Ludlum's books that indicates this or is it something added for the movies.

Also, have you read any of the other Bourne novels by Eric Van Lustbader? How do they compare with Ludlum's books.

For what it's worth, I haven't read any of the books, but I'm going to start soon.

If you can, then please cite your sources. We all know that thirty percent of statistics are made up on the spot, and another twenty-seven percent are typically ignored even by the people who ask for them.

I'm really interested, though.
