You seem really determined about this little Arab, but it all depends. It's up to you in your mind, whether you want to wait the extra year to begin the whole process of starting this horse - do you think shes worth it? Are you going to be bitter about having to wait around yet again? You'll have to spend much of your time with the youngster, particularly more so than just an average horse due to getting her used to everything and introducing her to things before even starting her, as you probably know. What if you get her and the bond just isn't there or she doesn't turn out as you expect? You've wasted your money and time on this horse without much of a return when you could have simply got another horse to ride. On the other hand, this time gives you plenty of chances to begin forging an unbreakable relationship, which could last a very long time. Once you get to know her on the ground and in hand, you'll probably have a much easier time working her under saddle, if the trust and respect is there. She obviously could be the life long companion you're looking for. To be honest, with the amount of money you're looking to spend, you probably couldn't get that much of a decent riding horse anyway - either one with problems/vices, elderly, young, smaller lead rein type ponies or simply unrideable ones which may turn out be as much as a project as the filly. If you're heart isn't in it then neither you or this horse will get a fair deal. However, you may miss the chance to get a good friend who, although may not have "the looks", has a steady nature and loving heart which may be passed upon because he/she isn't necessarily a stunner. The average riding horse may not cost you anywhere near as much as the filly due to the amount of things required for it. This all depends on the horse though. If i were you, and i had the expertise and determination to, i'd take the filly. Make sure you check her out first and don't go in without a reasonable attitude - she may not be the one you're looking for. Riding other peoples horses isn't that bad as long as they're willing. Just think, you could have the same thing in a couple of years but one you can have pride about due to being started by you. The potential relationship could be unbelievable. But it's all up to you, at the end of the day.

How an Airplane can stay up in the sky, I know but still, It is amazing how.
Or how a huge boat can float on water, yet, when I was pregnant, I sunk to the bottom.
Men, Why are all the really sexy guys Gay? or Married? or take a lifetime to find?

Space.
How can it really go on forever?
If it does, then why?
And if it doesn't, what's at the end?
Is there anything else out there?
If so, what is it?
How did it get to be there?
How many stars are there really?
How is it so big?
...You get the picture...
