This weekend I asked my 32 month old to stop picking her nose. My wife commented on how perfectly the index finger fits inside the nostril (if you don't believe me, try it yourself). It seems that, on average, everybody's nostril is just wide enough to accommodate a picking index finger. Is that reasonable evidence for and Intelligently Designed nostril? Or would a better Designer have created a wider nostril to allow for finger AND thumb, just to make sure that there's enough room for the difficult work?

First-year students at a Medical School were receiving their first anatomy class with a real dead human body. They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet.

The professor started the class by telling them, "In medicine, it is necessary to have 2 important qualities as a doctor. The first is that you are not disgusted by anything involving the human body." For an example, the professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth. "Go ahead and do the same thing," he told his students.

The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, but eventually took turns sticking a finger in the butt of the dead body and sucking on it.

When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them calmly and told them, "The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger and sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention...."

Is it out of admiration? relativity? Though a common misunderstanding among the yanks is that they don't know British implies Scottish, English, Irish & Welsh, not only english. Here are some examples. James Whister in Prison Break (he is an Aussie but Brad thought he is from Britain), Adam Monroe in Heroes and the billionaire in Desperate Housewives who almost became Susan's husband. Christina in Ugly Betty. There may be a ton more...

I work in retail, so I'm ALWAYS on my feet for 8 or more hours at a time on a tile floor. By the end of the day, my feet hurt so bad I can hardly walk! My knees hurt too. Can anyone suggest a really good shoe to make my feet not hurt as much? I've tried the Dr. Scholl's insoles for my current shoes, but it's not helping. They have to be all black shoes to conform with the work dress code. I really need some help because I don't want my feet to be messed up for the rest of my life! Thanks so much.
(I know this isn't in the right section, but I wanted a section where people are so that I might actually get answers instead of NOTHING. Thanks for not reporting me.)

Anytime the truck is running it makes this horrific screaching noise and as you press the gas it gets louder. I have replaced a few things on this truck. The first noise I heard was this humming & everyone thought it was the power steering pump, but it still did it. Then after a few days the idler pulley broke & the belt came off, I replaced the pulley and it was ok...now the noise is coming back but is a screaching sound now. Anyone have any ideas? I am being told now it could be the serpentine belt but it doesn't look worn at all. Please help!!! Oh, by the way in case you haven't noticed I am a female and don't know much about cars other than putting gas in & I don't have the money to take it to a shop. Thanks!!!
