I work in retail, so I'm ALWAYS on my feet for 8 or more hours at a time on a tile floor. By the end of the day, my feet hurt so bad I can hardly walk! My knees hurt too. Can anyone suggest a really good shoe to make my feet not hurt as much? I've tried the Dr. Scholl's insoles for my current shoes, but it's not helping. They have to be all black shoes to conform with the work dress code. I really need some help because I don't want my feet to be messed up for the rest of my life! Thanks so much.
(I know this isn't in the right section, but I wanted a section where people are so that I might actually get answers instead of NOTHING. Thanks for not reporting me.)

Could I please get a specific brand and type? It doesn't have to be anything "popular" I could care less, as long as it's black and I can stand on it all day.

No open shoes or heels are allowed in the dress code either...I'd LOVE to wear Crocs, trust me! I know how comfy they are. But that's not allowed :(

They may not be the most attractive things you have ever seen, but they are extremely comfortable and are good for tile floors. They have a walking shoe that is all black and do not look like walking shoes. They will really make a differences.

Two possibilities. One is to try 'earth shoes'. They have a lot of styles and they are very comfortable, if a bit hippy looking. If you want something more 'standard'... look into nurse shoes or shoes made for those in food service. Look up the phrase uniform shoes on Google and you will find what you need.

if i was in your shoes i think i'd have to buy new shoes, change shift, find better supports or buy the knee and ankle supports..
So it won't hurt your feet, you are obviously in pain, and the more you keep it up, the more it will make things worst, and it will take a tole on your feet someday, you're still having a hard time walking after your job, and obviously it adds to you being tired.. And do you think thats good for you?
Trying putting hotcompress, or dip your feet in cold water(freezing cold, just like the athletes), or rest your feet on an elevated thing, like lay down and stack two pillow up then take a nap and rest your feet, buy a massager, or let someone massage it..
That's what i do.ü

Shoes with low heels and cushion soles, That are snug, but not tight, in case your feet swell a little during the day.

Go to a shoe store and look around for ones that are flat, and offer support.

You could try Aerosoles and black Uggs. That's what I wore when I was bartending and it worked like a charm.

Try either Skechers or Merrell's. They are both very, very comfortable shoes.
