I call them ''seasonal Muslims'' in lack of a better term, but I'm sure you get the meaning. Here's one example (and 80% of Muslims in my country are like that): I have a co-worker who is Muslim and who doesn't drink alcohol during Ramazan (please understand that Muslims in my country are not practising ones) but he gets drunk for Eid and parties for 3 days.
I know that alcohol is forbidden in Islam - completely. He knows that too. I'm not trying to make you judge his actions. My question would be - between those two ''evils'' which one is more hypocritical? I mean if he can refrain himself from drinking for 30 days, why not respect those 3 days of Eid and remain sober? I just don't get it.
By the way, Eid Mubarak in advance! :) Hope you enjoy it with your loved ones.
