Bought a house as-is and one of the bathroom sink faucets was not hooked up to be tested. To spare you details, we replaced the old broken faucet and in testing the new one discovered a leak in the drain that cannot be fixed without ripping out the wall. We were already planning to remodel this bath next year and can live without it being functional until then so we are going to pretend it doesn’t exist for the time being.

We plan to reuse the sink & faucet combo. Should we anticipate any issues from the new faucet being tested and then not being used for 8-12 months? We had to buy one of these three piece faucets: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=231690-72981-35902-SS&lpage=none which wasn’t exactly cheap.

This may be a silly question. I just know very little about plumbing and don’t always trust that my husband knows as much as he thinks. :-)

my 1 yr old ***** keeps jumpin up at the kitchen counters and table and is stealing food or dishclothes or dusters. just now after dinenr i moved the dirty dishes with food remainin but forgot the choc cake and she had scoffed it!!! how can i stop her to do this? she ONLY ever does it when we are not in there so it is hard for me to correct her. does it mean i will have to get cctv?

I live in work in Atlanta GA. I work in a big office complex and basically the only two businesses in our building are a Dr.'s office and my place of employment, a reserach lab. Neither of our bathrooms are handicapp accessible nor do we have handicapp parking. It makes me sick to my stomache to see people getting out of their wheelchairs struggling to go into the bathroom or even worse Ive seen Patients mess themselves because the bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. I've complained verbally and in writing to the building owner and property manager and they say that their property is under some Grandfather clause that allows them to legally not have to accomadate handicapp people. I really don't believe this is true but my question is what agencies can I contact in order to find out our rights as tenants? My Mom actually owns the research company I work for so I make most of the repair requests and the owner ALWAYS ignores them. Who can I call for help with a slum lord?
