I am beginning to fall out of love with hockey. I llike the sport and play whenever I can but as a parent of a 11 year old playing peewee hockey I am beginning to care less if my son wants to quit.

He is also involved in soccer where the emphasis is on fun and it is an utterly enjoyable experience.

But the seriousness of hockey is taking the fun completely out of it for me. It is way too bureaucratic, costs way too much money (those parents at the AAA novice game probably spent $5K or more for the year with 10% or more on frivilous team paraphenelia), it too tied to the ego of those involved, and has very little emphasis on sportsmanship.

When I played growing up, jerseys were shared, the 20 people who watched came in for free, and you only got a team jacket if you won something.

I think that as a country, we really got to take a deep breath and let kids play and have fun because I think there are other activities that will develop our children more effectively.

I am already in the process of being sued by a law firm who purchased my debt form 4 years ago. I think it has hit the statue of limitations and I'm working to fight it due to lack of funds. But now a second card said they will sue me in 5 days if I do not respond with payment. AHH Thinking about seeing if I can even get a loan to pay these debts and settle the accounts for like 30% off what I owe them should be reasonable. Who would even give me one that's not terrible since my credit score is probably 580 or something Help!

About a year ago, or so, my brother was with his girlfriend in an unfamiliar place and he got VERY low on gas, so he thot the rite thing to do wuz call my stepmom and dad, he did so, and they got real pissed at him b/c he called them! They did got mad about the gas thing, but my dad said that he would never call to tell his parents this. is it wrong that they got mad at this? would most parents be compasionite at first to help their kid in need?

why not? the NFL has it. it wont hurt the colleges to do this.
its sad that schools are still in the "good ol boy system" and dont give minority coaches a chance.

Jake, Mel, and Annie went mountain biking on Mammoth Mountain. Each biker took a different trail. They biked for a total of 10 hours and 10 minutes. Mel biked 2/3 as long as Jake and Annie biked 30 minutes less than Jake did. How long did each of them bike?

This is the question. I know it can be solved with Guess and Check, but I need the algebraic way, and FAST!
Please don't tell me to solve it myself, because I have no idea for the technique. Please post the walkthrough and the once-over of the question on your answer.

affect how fast it will germinate. I have done 6 trials. for each trial there were 3 cups i tested. 1s got no water, 2s got water once a week, and 3s got watered ever day. I have a definitional essay due on why or why not a homosexual family is considered a family. My argument at first was that they are not a family (Just because I thought I could find sufficient information on the topic). After I realized I couldn't find any sources to implement into my paper I switched over to homosexual families are families. After doing so I still can not find any articles to list as sources.

I was wondering if anyone can give me a few reasons why a homosexual family is considered a family, and possibly some articles to back it up on.

Or does much of the dialog about immigration into America seem to have a huge racist bias? There seems to be little consideration for a distinction between legal and illegal immigration, and a lot of bleating about being "real" Americans.

Pretty much all the people in America had ancestors who immigrated within the last 300 years or so.

I had a new wall furnace installed in my home 2 months ago. It makes loud popping noises everytime it comes on and off, for about 10 minutes. The heating company that installed the furnace told me this is due to the metal expanding during heating and there is nothing that can be done about this. They also said that this is a common problem with wall furnances. Is this true? The company has tried to loosen the screws to relieve pressure but this has not helped. Thanks for any info.
