About a year ago, or so, my brother was with his girlfriend in an unfamiliar place and he got VERY low on gas, so he thot the rite thing to do wuz call my stepmom and dad, he did so, and they got real pissed at him b/c he called them! They did got mad about the gas thing, but my dad said that he would never call to tell his parents this. is it wrong that they got mad at this? would most parents be compasionite at first to help their kid in need?

i understand that any parent would get mad at their kid bein low on gas, but any parent should be proud that their kid called for help rather than risking their lives doing it on their own. when you are a kid, u are raised to call your parents if you are in danger

I think that their point was, if you are going to be responsible enough to drive a car, then you should be responsible enough to keep an eye on the gas gauge, and if you don't know if you have enough for a trip you either fill up or don't go. And if you choose to drive past the amount of gas that you've got, then you do deserve a telling off.
Having said that, if my kids call, I would go anyway.

I have a story to tell here, witch should answer this question, the story of a beautify young lady, that decided to go to a party without the parents permission. very much late in to the night, when she realized that every one was drunk she got frightened and decided to ring her sister to come and get her she could not very well ring her parents, because she was supposed to be at a friends house and she knew her parents would be mad, well her sister also got mad at her, and although she called her three times she was just out of luck her sister would not come to get her, so yes she got in the car with the next lot of people leaving the party all drunk of course, I suppose you can already hear the end to this story, no she did not dye, totally paralyzed,brains do not work to well, sister totally full of guilt, parents spending the rest of their life looking after her, grieving for the wonderful girl they had.
Yes your parents were wrong, children should know that no matter what, they can call home for help, yes they will get told off, yes their parents will be mad, and yes they will most probably get grounded for the rest of their life,but they will have a life, but most important of all is to have the kids know that we will always be there with unconditional love

i'm inquisitive approximately breast feeding too, yet whilst a girl got here as much as me on the keep telling me she could supply me hers, i think of i could could get impolite. the two that or go away. She's a touch on the nutty ingredient, and he or she DOES could relax it. possibly she could be considered with the help of a head surgeon. She sounds a touch greater effective than postpartum to me. She might want some loopy meds. If she would be in a position to sneak breast milk into your dad's oatmeal, then he can sneak her an appointment with a psychologist.

Maybe they were really upset about his irresponsibility... or were trying to get him to grow up a little bit. That does sound weird to me though. I haven't heard of many parents getting mad about something like this.

more than likely they were mad about the amount of irresponsibility that he had displayed. my dad would have helped me as well but at the same time he would have given me an ear full just for jeopardising the safety of me and my date and then causing him concern about his safety as well for coming out. now you have three lives in unfamiliar territory.

I would never get mad if my kids called me for help, I would be happy that I raised them so that they would feel comfortable asking me for help....no matter what. I am their mom I would do anything for them. Why your parents where mad is strange

they were probially mad b/c he was low on gas everyone knows that they need to check the gage! i would be mad if that happened to one one of my kids. b/c its dangerious

maybe they were angry because they were in the middle of sex lol.or maybe cause he is irresponsible!!
