any of us? whether we be christian, muslim, pagan, or atheist? every now and then i get some quack who gives me a quote from the bible saying how none of us are good, that we are all inherently evil, and that is why we must accept jesus as our savior. these are the same people who call abortion murder. so my question really breaks down to this. if we are all inherently evil, what wrong are we doing in killing anyone? abortion ensures that the fetus will not sin, hence a free ticket to heaven? the baby was going to eventually die any way. why submit it to a life of torture if all it has to look forward to is a realization that it is evil, and thus must make a choice whether or not to go to heaven. if we are all born with original sin, then if we are not born, we don't have the stain of original sin and thus we get to heaven. if someone told me they were taking 80 yrs. off my life so that i would spend all of eternity in heaven, i'd gladly make the choice to die. who wouldn't?

Why is it that you say adopt to save a pet from death, but never NEVER buy from a pet store or individual? I thought the idea was for all animals to have a chance at a good life. So if you really care about ALL pets,,,then why is it ok to leave a pet in a store to suffer,,but not ok to leave one in a shelter to suffer? I don't understand the prejudice involved here. You say it's to 'not support' BYB's, but by doing it this way, you are actually saying that if a puppy is being sold in a pet store, or someones yard, they do not deserve the same chance at life as other puppies.Ya'll say they are bad quality, but we don't know the quality at all of shelter pups either. Do puppies with a price tag deserve to be refused a good home, simply because of where/how they were born? Just curious as to how you guys feel about this?. If both shelters and byb's pups are pitiful, why does one get your support,,and the other your abandonment?

My mom is in debt and we are trying to help her out. She owes more than her house is worth. If she sold her house for it's current value she would still be $43K in debt. Her monthly income is $1000 less than she makes per month. Should we have her file bankruptsy or foreclose on her house? What is a short sale? We will probably have to buy a less expensive house and have her pay rent but how do we get rid of the house she currently has? HELP!

we have been together for 2 years, and he doesnt work on things that i feel will help us grow as a couple. I have tried before but he got made and started throwing and breaking things in the apartment. I really dont want to hurt him, but I dont feel like our relationship is going anywhere. My mother raised me to love God. She instilled Christian morals; but we rarely went to church. I feel that I am close to God, I speak to him, I try not to sin. The problem is, my husband and I have attended several different churches and can not find one that we feel connected to. I feel that a church should be a place where you feel that you will not be judged by others, where it should not matter whether you are wealthy or poor, and most importantly not to use it as a tool to redeem yourself because of guilt over a habit you won't change about yourself. I had a friend who would go out Sat. nights and get drunk and dance on the tables (which I am not against having fun) then the next day go to church hung over and then one day talk about someone else who is not a good Christian because they don't go to church. I just find it hard to sit in prayer with a bunch of hypocrits. I apologize to those who sit quietly and do right and attend weekly, but does anyone else feel this?
