Part of being responsible is doing what is expected. If a person is given a responsibility, they are expected to excel with it. If they don't, then the person loses respect or trust. For example, a student's responsibility is to do well in school.

I am interested in the topic of rights and responsibilities. We have become very rights-oriented without paying attention to the responsibilities that go along with it. We want things, but we don't want to do what we need to get them (I'm speaking as a society here). We want free speech but we don't act responsibly and often go "too far." There are lots of examples.

Take a look at your daily life and routine and granted you are being responsible right now. Getting up, showering, eating, getting yourself to school, chores, cooking,and paying people back when you borrow something.

Responsibility is the ability to own up to what you have done despite the consequences. It is a sign of maturity.

how do you see yourself as being responsible- are you trustworthy, do you know how to act in an emergency,can and will you help others without being asked- look up the word and then decide what it means to you-
