If religion was invented to control people I'd have to ask-Control them from what? How are they being controlled and for what reason? This line of thinking degrades ALL religions, not just Christianity. Just because a person believes in God, what kind of control is he/she under? What control is a Christian under that an Atheist isn't under? If the powers that be said "let's control these people using religion" 1.Who are the powers that be? 2.How did religion control them-what could or couldn't they do because of religion? Paying taxes and going to war is nothing new. Religious and non religious have done these things forever. There are rich and poor church's just like there are rich and poor people. I can't see where $$ is the reason. If religion is used to control people into keeping laws such as: not to murder, not to steal, not to lie, etc. I don't see a problem. What is wrong with keeping such laws? If religion is a control device, what does it control?

I'm in a new relationship (both he & I are in our late 30's). All he want is sex, Sounds great eh? Well, actually no - because I feel that I must "perform" "on-demand" The other night, despite me saying no from the very beginning - he became persistent - & eventually leaves saying "it's my god given right to have you when I want you" - which is the whole time - he doesn't see the point of the sensual stimulating play before hand - none of that - because he just thinks with his overly intelligent brain - he lacks all emotional skills in every aspect.. Now he's saying that my lack of wanting him is simply that "his love is unrequited" . I apologies if this is too "detailed" for the forum - and if so, please remove it asap- I just really needed to "talk" especialy to non-interested friends etc - so any feedback would be great - positive & negative - Guys & Girls - your thoughts, reactions, personal beliefs whatever - would be really really appreciated. Huge Thanks to All

Do you get tired of the ppl that say all you do in vegas is party and the only thing in vegas is casinos? Also, they say that vegas is perfect and they wanna live there. Where I live is far from perfect. Why does every1 think its so perfect?

I am not talking about any bandwagon jumper beating their drums and singing 26 over and over again. I am talking about those guys that jump for joy when their team wins, mourn with the team when they lose, and will not say that other teams suck even if they don't suck. ( there was this kid in school, he was showing off his yankees boxers in the locker room 2 months ago, and just 2 weeks a go, he was wearing a red sox jersey. I am not talking about those people.)

no women wants to date they always say its either cause i have no kissing experience or that i am a virgin, what am i to do?

some also say its cause im unattractive but i do take care of myself, get haircuts, take daily showers (twice a day) use deodorant and a use a sane amount of cologne. i dont get it, i tried switching up cologne but nothing. and some wont date cause of my lack of experience. im 25 years old

So, Dennis rejects war as a tool of American foreign policy. He says this on the heels of having traveled to Syria to chum around with Assad and Mahmoud whilst denouncing the American military and labeling the war in Iraq as criminal.

Isn't what he did criminal?

Not according to his other pal, Yugo Chavez, with whom Dennis frequently speaks with about such things as 'labor unions' and their shared affection for Sean Penn films and Harry Belafonte calypso tunes.
